  1. Could have managed his innings much better. Ryan proving once again he is mediocre at best and incompetent at worst as a GM. It's time for him to go. period.
  2. When hicks is back: Hicks Mauer Sano dozier Rosario plouffe Escobar Suzuki Buxton
  3. It's because a leftie is on the mound. Dumb. But at least I understand the logic sort of.
  4. I don't like that hunter is hitting right behind Sano again. If I am the white sox I wouldn't give Sano a single pitch to hit all night. I'd think about putting mauer, dozier, plouffe or even Escobar behind him, someone that isn't hitting so poorly the last two months.
  5. I really hope Escobar ends up being Dozier verizon 2.0, I would gladly eat my words about him. His bat is looking straight up legit these days.
  6. He will end up on the yankees
  7. It's gotten ugly. This is why I didn't want him back to begin with, it's a shame to see him go out like this. Since Aug 1st: 24k's in 72 AB, .125/.220/.236 Since July 1st: .159/.225/.287 Once Hicks is back Hunter should only be getting 1 start a week. For his credit though, he seems to be taking it pretty well, seems to still be a positive clubhouse/bench presence. So hopefully that continues.
  8. How I would vote: 1. Donaldson 2. Cruz 3. Trout 4. Cain 5. Machado 6. big tex 7. Bautista 8. Miggy 9. Sano 10. Altuvie
  9. That shouldn't be an issue and it sounds like more convienant excuses. The rule 5 thing is overblown, eventually berrios is going to have to take SOMEONES spot on the 40 man roster, and at that point the 41st guy will either be exposed to waivers or the rule 5 draft. Not only is berrios one of the best 40 in the org, he is one of the bet 25 ready to help the team now, and arguably one of the best 5 overall pitchers the Twins could count on the rest of the season. If calling him up now means there is a 5% chance we lose someone like Levi Michael in the rule 5 draft, I say take that chance all day!
  10. Worth noting that Sano would be tied for 3rd in all the majors with a 177 wRC+, only Harper and Miggy would be ahead of him. He would be tied with Votto and ahead of Cruz, Trout, Goldschmidt!, Donaldson and McCutchen. Solid company to keep.
  11. So the question becomes: does the best hitter in baseball for the 2nd half of the season (most important games) deserve some honorable mention type votes 7,8,9,10? I think yes
  12. he will end up playing a half of a season.
  13. without him they would likely be 20-30 in that time period. Also I believe MVP they vote 1-10, as mentioned he shouldn't get any 1st,2nd, 3rd etc votes, but potentially some 8th, 9th, 10th etc
  14. Stupid auto correct on phone
  15. Also Rosario got a couple hits off a top LhP in the game. Looking more are more like an everyday important player. Jacque Jones he is not.
  16. Didn't catch the game as I was at the U.S. Open /lights fine cigar //drinks expensive brandy ///lights $100 bill on fire. But omg what a win! Following on the phone I thought they were in trouble after giving up the lead. Why would any team pitch to Sano up one run, in the 7th with Hunter on deck? To that point, they absolutely need someone other than hunter hitting behind sano. Ideally it would be dozier or Mauer(he is clutch this year)
  17. Obviously he shouldn't get any 1st 2nd or 3rd place votes, but I think he has to be top ten on a lot of ballots, no? I believe the year Shannon Stewart "sparked" the Twins lineup for 2 months he ended up top ten. Sabo definitely should IMO
  18. they don't "need" the sweep, but it would certainly be nice with the way they have mashed LHP all year
  19. is this sarcasm? They can call them up now and still "keep them down" enough to save that extra year if need be.
  20. Rangers three outs away from losing tonight! Angels looking rough as well
  21. Twins have mashed LHP all year. Need the sweep.
  22. My question is: what else do Kepler and Berrios have to possibly do to earn a spot on this expanded roster? If someone can answer that, I will give this beef a rest.
  23. Wow that is right! I forgot that. Even more of a no brained. Dude is the best twins hitter in the minors this year (non sano division) what else does he need to do to earn a shot? I mean, the Twins did use Hermann as a PH 2 games ago!
