  1. How does this work? Will Plummer still "make" a little bit of money from Sanos future deals? I wonder if Sano is looking for a big payday now, if so, I hope the twins can lock him up long term prior to the season starting. (Thinking 2-3 years of free agency outta do it)
  2. If the projections were fool proof, then they would never be released to the public anyways. A select few would be taking Vegas.
  3. With Jay-Z's agency now. Good for Miguel, they have a real nice roster from all the sports over there now.
  4. Yeah we have all seen blue chips. Yes Jermaine ONeal was a very very good player. 6x all star.
  5. College doesn't count
  6. how exactly did the NBA almost kill its products? Ratings popularity has been up almost every year for the last 20-30 years. Plenty of high school guys went on to be amazing (Kobe, Garnett, ONeal, Lebron etc)
  7. If Rose runs Hoiberg out of Chicago (possible) the Wolves need to back up the brinks truck for him, he would be the PERFECT coach for this franchise
  8. Well, they do have the current worst manager in baseball now in Dusty Baker, so anything is possible.
  9. Revere is not a top of the lineup OF. He has put up less than 1.0 WAR in 2 of his last 3 years, he is a 4th OF.
  10. I don't think so, and if you weight it against playing time its not going to come even close to 50/50. Interesting to note that MLB and NHL are the two most "Caucasian" populated sports of the major ones.....hmmm NFL has the perfect set up, the NCAA works as their "minor leauges" where they have to do nothing in return other than promising not to play games on Saturday. Basketball: There is absolutely no reason why high school players shouldn't be allowed to go pro, what a joke.
  11. Oh I agree, I didn't need to read this article to "shape" my opinions towards the NCAA. The whole thing is broken, but I just think the African American athletes are suffering "more" (but to say that the NCAA has racial reasons for doing so is silly, I will give the NCAA this: they are ****heads to everyone equally)
  12. I also think this exploits unpaid black athletes at a greater rate then white athletes. Just look at the major money makers for NCAA (basketball and football) now go check out the roster make ups in terms of race for any of the top 25 programs year in and year out. Now go check out the average economic backgrounds of said players. The NCAA is a joke, and has been for some time. Each year I find myself caring less and less about college football, and college basketball (even March Madness is getting less and less interesting to me) They need to give ALL scholarship FB and BB players a monthly stipend, additionally they should allow them all an additional 2 years of free schooling after their 4 years are up. So at that time some of them that don't make the pros etc can come back and focus on school full time and add onto a degree/work towards a second degree or a graduate degree.
  13. Yeah, agents aren't the ones who exploit athletes, its against their best business interests since they get a flat % of a players total earnings. Guys like Boras have done amazing things for his clients, the only ones who "dislike" them are the stingy owners/Pohlads of the world.
  14. Milone would be an excellent comparable. In fact, Milone would likely be able to bring back a prospect or two along with Storen since he is more valuable then an overpaid guy like Revere who is basically a 4th OF. Additionally, trading Milone opens up a rotation spot for a guy like May/Duffey/Berrios as well.
  15. Pelfrey. You get the point I am making.
  16. Signing or trading for impact players and bringing up young talent from the minors aren't mutually exclusive things... last I checked the twins like to have 7 or 8 guys in the pen at any given time.
  17. TR has won one playoff series in 17 years, sadly I think that number will be 1 in 18 years after this season. Nice to see a team like the Blue Jays (who made it far) continue to "go for it" Brilliant trade on their part, Twins could have easily matched/beat it, but of course did not.
  18. It doesn't make it any less true. The Twins are likely the only team in baseball who would keep guys like Nolasco and Milone in the rotation over guys like May.
  19. Perkins is awesome, but is a bit of a question mark coming off injuries May should be in the rotation.
  20. Under Ryan the Twins bullpen has been pretty good overall, however that doesn't guarantee future success, at some point they need guys that can strike people out, not more Duensings, Boyers, Fiens etc the problem many have is that they refuse to go after any game changing type players. Settling time and time again for the safe/cheap option
  21. Bullpen still looks like a potential disaster and we still have too many 4/5 type starting pitchers for too few spots. Are we pretty much done at this point?
  22. Loserville USA Thank God for the state of Ohio and their incompetence, otherwise Minnesota would be king at this point.
  23. Neat! Get ready for a 75 win season, followed up by another vote of confidence for Terry (It's his job til he doesn't want it any more) Ryan. Skol Vikes Go Wild. Those are our only two chances to see a playoff team in Minnesota in 2016 it appears.
  24. Bernie isn't going to come close, the only people voting for him are the young generation and its proven time and time again the youngsters don't come out and vote. Bernie is about 8-12 years too early, he is far too socialist to ever stand a chance in the general election.
