  1. They've gotten more trades right when they've sold players compared to when they are trading in the buy window. And certainly no one expects Ryan to get extended, so in that sense it is a ticking clock so to speak. I MIGHT be crazy, but I can see a window that they keep Lopez longer than his current deal. I certainly see him around longer than I do Ryan in that sense.
  2. I think if they truly are looking at maximizing value, then Ryan is the one to listen on. I'm not saying I want to trade him. But he would bring the most value back.
  3. Remind me, would any of the first four names mentioned have to be on the opening day roster to qualify?
  4. I actually do think the offense will probably be fine. And I do think the bullpen will get sorted. I worry the most about the defense generally. Unless they do make actual changes from the current group of corner outfielders and also see pretty major improvement up the middle at SS and 2B, I have a hard time seeing real progress.
  5. Then IF that is the determination, maybe they end up trading Wallner? I can't see how all of these pieces actually mesh and work well together
  6. Just throwing out; Wallner very easily could end up dh'ing too. Who would you rather have as a primary DH option against righties? Larnach or Wallner?
  7. I still don't see it. I think really your argument is one that the team should be showing to other teams as to why trading for him makes sense. That said, there are SO many other players you listed, even in the locks section, that I'm not certain are locks, at least for all of 2026. Like, can you GUARANTEE that Kody Clemens is a part of the team on May 1, especially if Outman AND Larnach are on the team? Why? And Jenkins and Rodriguez certainly will also debut at some point.
  8. Double those numbers and maybe you get closer. But I’d be open to it too.
  9. 5 prospects going back to Washington, including Texas's 2nd ranked prospect Gavin Fien. Sharing here mostly as we've now seen Freddy Peralta go to the Mets as well as Gore going to the Rangers in about a 24 hour span. Useful for when/if the Twins do listen on the likes of Joe Ryan (as an example) if we want to compare value in these deals. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/01/rangers-to-acquire-mackenzie-gore.html
  10. Spring will be super interesting for Ober. If he is hitting 91-93 this spring then he is definitely penciled in and ready to go. If he is more 88-89 for his 4 seam, then I can’t see him being one of their best 5 starting options.
  11. I would trade Larnach next. If you get a reliever, great. If you get a prospect you like, great. I'd also trade for a reliever they like something about, and I'd sign a decent reliever or two. I wouldn't trade Jeffers, I do think he is going to show he can catch 100+ games going into his free agency. And I'm good with that too. If they do more than this, which I think is still needed, that'd be a lot of fun.
  12. I think all the pitchers will be up at some point this season. I don’t know if any debut opening day, we will see. I could be very wrong, but I have a hard time planning around Gonzalez. I like the bat to ball along with the speed and defense that Martin alone, let alone maybe Roden, ahead of the defense Gonzalez can provide. And Jenkins isn’t far behind, and I guess same with Rodriguez if he is healthy. But if Gonzalez carves out a spot with everyone ahead of him, I’ll gladly be wrong. I can’t see Fedko being more than a backup to the backup to the backup bench option against lefties
  13. Not if they trade Larnach and either Ober or Ryan for prospect level returns. There are ways to make room. This one to me screams that there is more to come
  14. So, um, this is interesting. Is Jeffers getting traded? Something else?
  15. I'm not saying Clemens is the answer. But he did grade out well at 1B defensively last year. That's not something Bell has done. That's mostly what I'm getting at. But maybe Keaschall or Lee or someone else is the 1b defensively at some point? Who knows. Wallner has real power, and looking at his 2023 and 2024 numbers shows there is a real hitter there. I do think he has to get back to that level of production to hold off the younger guys who are close though. But someone would give something real for him.
  16. See if it started with Shaw and Wiggins I'd listen on Ryan. I don't know after that what would need to take place, but IF he can be a positive addition to the clubhouse, then he is the type of player to headline a deal. At least in my opinion.
  17. His prospect savant profile, which is similar but with AAA data, is very encouraging. https://prospectsavant.com/player/807713 I do think him as a headliner for Ryan makes sense, but more would have to come with. Especially with the headlines he generated last season for skipping out on the team etc. But he is the TYPE of player that still has upside that one would need as a headliner if they are going to move someone like Ryan. I just hope the people who are looking into players to trade confirm also the fit inside the clubhouse. If he is going to be a negative add to the clubhouse personality wise, then I stay away.
  18. I still just can't see Larnach back. Or Wallner I guess. But I don't see the fit for carrying both on opening day with how many other options, especially better defensive options, are ready to be up by May or June if nothing else. I know we list him at DH, but I still think Josh Bell as the primary dh makes a lot of sense with better defenders covering defense at 1B. I could be wrong. Not saying they will get much in trade for Larnch. I just don't see the fit here.
  19. This was a fun read and I very much appreciated the movie references. Thank you
  20. I don't think Jeffers is perfect by any means. But it better be a really good return along with many more moves.
  21. Seriously though; Larnach won’t be back. How the bench will look is going to be interesting to say the least. I’m curious if Wallner is even in the long term plans. Lots of moves to still be made, I’d imagine
  22. How do all of them fit though? Like where is Julien going to play other than dh?
