    If they are going to keep Santana on the roster, DFA Fuld or move him to the 60-day as he doesn't seem to be progressing that well. They also have Florimon and Frkyer to DFA

    Wow, he's on quite a roll now. To quibble, four walks is probably too much, but he went eight innings, while Meyer seems like a six inning guy i think we have a better chance of winning with. May and Meyer than Correia and Pelf, plus the experience would be great and create some buzz around the team

    While Revere would have allowed Hicks some more time in the minors, in the long run, both Philly and Washington not enamored with the CF they received from us

    I think it would be good to think about signing him for a couple more years since the catching options are a little thin. That said, if they can get a top 150 prospect at the deadline, then I would pull the trigger. The Orioles will certainly need a catcher if they remain in the race and so would the Rays

    Florimon needs to be DFAed if Santana is going to stay on the club, there's no use for him since he plays one position. Also, Fryer seems to be taking up a spot.

    That smile and laughter, he looked like he was always having fun. I think that is why Joe, probably every bit the player will never be as we'll liked

    Funny when two of your hottest hitters play SS as their best position, especially on the Twins. I would rather keep playing Santana at SS 4-5 times a week if he is going to stay up. Escobar could play SS 2-3 times a week and sub in other positions and probably have 4-5 games a week also.

    Gyorko is hitting about as well as Pedro Florimon right now. While Dozier's average is not quite where I'd like it, I believe I've seen enough to state that Dozier is part of the Twins future resurgence. Despite the average he leads the league in runs, already has 12 stolen bases and his defense has been phenomenal. I wouldn't even mind giving Dozier the Kipnis deal at this point. He is the only player that I see right now that is deserving of an extension.

    This sounds familiar to the TK era, annual call to dump Dick Such. As long as Gardy is here, I bet Andy will be here also. So does Andy get credit for Phil Hughes' success so far?

    He's in Aaa, let's see him back in the majors before we start throwing Anderson under the bus

    In my opinion, to clear the roster spots, Arcia will be in AAA AND Tonkin will get sent down. Santana so far has shown he can play, so if he falters any, then I would guess he could be sent down. There is no reason to have 13 pitchers at this point, since the starters are coming into form

    Wow, I'm one if the biggest defenders but this is whack. They actually need another 1b and Parmalee should be it. I am tired of this worry about losing guys off the 40 man when there are 2-3 which are easy DFAs, including two currently on roster

    He can play first and OF better than Colabello or Hermann, let him play up here. Not counting on Hammer for a while

    I would rather have Parms up and not playing everyday and have Arcia playing everyday in Rochester. Maybe taking Parms off the 40-man was a wake up call. It seems the switch has now turned on for Plouffe, maybe Parmalee can have the same thing happen.

    Well at least the Red Wings are in Columbus starting tomorrow, should make it easy to shuffle the roster. I don't like Santana sitting, so I guess I'd like to see what Nunez can do also since he was back playing today, maybe he's getting close to ready

    Is Guerrier a better option than Tonkin?

    Everybody remembers the 1987 season and the Buck Ninety Kid, Tim Laudner. He was on a great team and his catching skills were more important than average. In any event, the Twins have a couple of players batting less than a Buck forty, including Florimon in a major role along with Hermann. I believe Florimon has options left and he should be shipped to Rochester and replaced by Bernier. Hermann should be replaced by Parmalee. The problem with both moves is that Bernier and Parmalee are not on the 40 man roster. I think you DFA Hermann for Parmalee. We still have Fryer on the 40 man if god forbid Hermann gets claimed. As for Bernier, with Escobar taking over as everyday SS, he is way more valuable than Florimon because he can play multiple positions and Florimon cannot. While not as good with the glove, Bernier can certainly hit better. At this point I think you DFA Wilson off the roster. Buxton will be in New Britain soon anyways, so not a big deal if Wilson gets claimed. That still leaves Gardy with two catchers, but he can get over it. I'd leave Arcia in Rochester after his rehab is over. Hicks will send Santana back when he's ready. In the new era of player responsibility, we cannot afford to have a Starting SS who cannot hit and another backup OF who cannot hit and even drops fly balls.

    I think I've seen enough based upon his fielding and hitting that the right side of the infield is set for a while. I would think about trying to sign him to a longer term deal. He is part of the future with Rosario being part of the future OF

    That's why I think the Twins should DFA Florimon and bring up Bernier, at least he can play multiple positions and is having a pretty good season with the bat so far

    Why don't they just DFA Florimon and bring up Bernier? Escobar can play SS and Bernier would be more valuable because he plays multiple positions and Florimon doesn't. Bernier can at least bat.250 I bet

    Really? How many persons here got arrested for pubic intoxication or some similar offense in college? I think the last three U.S. Presidents all admitted to smoking pot, they just didn't have to get tested. Making mistakes is a natural part of life and I am guessing that he will work even harder when he comes back.
