  1. So after all this maybe the notion of giving Mastroianni or Dinkelman a good look at second base isn't so foolhardy.
  2. Warp core breach is imminent! Better eject this ball...
  3. Yes. This would be a case of exponentiation by subtraction.
  4. Although on second thought, Tommy Herr deserves consideration as well.
  5. The legendary Ron Davis.
  6. Hey, that's pretty cool. Congratulations on the new exposure.
  7. He couldn't even enjoy a screenname.
  8. They're both good choices. I'll offer up a little love for the Nationals and Orioles, too.
  9. One of the classiest things I've seen in recent years is when Radke knew his arm was dead and didn't try to force coming back an extra year. If Carl can't get his velocity back, hope he decides to do the same. He shouldn't have much trouble finding work as a coach. Meanwhile if the Twins resign someone it should be Baker.
  10. But that's just the role that will need to be filled if Perk becomes the regular closer. I suppose we could hunt down the Big Sweat again, but Robertson's already here.
  11. Yeah, although Walters may yet get there. And maybe Tyler Robertson will stick in the pen for next year.
  12. I think there's really only one rule required. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/2010/08/17/dont-be-a-dick-part-1-the-video/
  13. I think this discussion they had about Morneau in the first inning states why I'd rather not trade him. This team has precious few on field leaders, but he can be the best of them. You think of Puck's "climb on my back" statement, and who else is here to do that now? Maybe the Hammer.
  14. My Minnesota math says all of them.
  15. That's a good observation. They tried playing with the big kids, and it didn't work the first time. Don't stop trying, just do better next time.
  16. And save enough money to sign an extra bat or two in the process.
  17. Let me run this by y'all, since you like what-if's. Take the current squad, and put vintage Santana and Radke (or Viola and Blyleven, or Morris and Tapani, if you prefer) at the top of the rotation. Change nothing else. Where does this team finish?
  18. Not unlike the Bombo Rivera for Governor campaign.
  19. Betcha my 13 week old Golden puppy would make one heck of a cutoff man.
  20. Joe Mauer is still a fine athlete. He could probably be a gold glove at 3rd given the chance. I think it's a good idea. Of course I have zero control of it. Hahahaha.
  21. Nah, I ran one for a decade. Thankfully, it was technology and not sports related, so the focus was a whole lot different. Certainly, the level here is much better than the Strib and several orders of magnitude higher than ESPN. No argument about that.
  22. Yes, it sucks to be us.
  23. I promise nobody will force you to be happy. Is it OK if some of us don't spend our day bitching about things we have absolutely zero control over? Thank you.
  24. Sam needs (and deserves) solid infield defense tonight. Fingers crossed.
