  1. I'm generally a miserable wretch most of the time. Still, it could be worse...
  2. Mr. Rock, meet Mr. Hard Place.
  3. My wife makes great popovers; buttery, not fruity, though. Best with any extras on the side. Mario? Donkey Kong all the way, baby!
  4. Best of all possible worlds; a deal can be worked out with the Dodgers. Probably means eating some, maybe most, of the contract but that's the way these things go sometimes. You pays yer money, you takes yer chances...
  5. Much like Adrian Peterson is now playing for the Cowboys.
  6. Are you a free mason, or an expensive one?
  7. Maybe he was talking about prison. But more to the point, this is an agent talking. Believe it at your own risk.
  8. A bit of fun, even during this debacle. http://www.startribune.com/the-university-of-minnesota-hosts-a-rare-collection-of-bobbleheads-appealing-to-the-u-s-supreme-court/371540071/
  9. Fla primary next Tuesday; Rubio is desperate. Edit - Damn Ninjas are everywhere.
  10. The long-term memory ain't what it used to be.
  11. I promise to withdraw my signature posting of the Epic of Gilgamesh.
  12. Taking the whole family to see Deadpool... Priceless.
  13. Ummm.... http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/min/community/about/contact-us/
  14. Byline in today's Strib: "His party in chaos, a conciliatory Donald Trump pleaded with mainstream Republicans to unify behind his candidacy as his rivals seized on their last best opportunity to block him from building an insurmountable delegate lead." Sounds like Babylon 5.
  15. Yup. Maybe I'll put it in a signature.
  16. In general I don't like them. Post the image once in a thread where it may have some degree of appropriateness or inappropriateness, as the case may be. But I'm good with free expression, too. At least until it becomes boring. It is possible in the Ignore preferences to just ignore an individual user's signature, and ought else. Very handy for cases like this. Edit - ninja'd again...
  17. Actually, it's Hennepin County (and our Sales Tax) that provides the bulk of the public funding for Target Field. Having said that; if I were looking for an affordable family outing, I'd go to see the Saints. Or the Science Museum. I hope to make 2-3 Twins games this season. Generally not at full ticket prices. Same with the Guthrie and the Ordway; combined.
  18. I can share space with these copacetic concepts. Seriously, I despise the way the NCAA rules the roost at what should be institutes of higher learning. I see the crap that goes on at the U of M and it makes me ashamed to admit to being a graduate of the place.
  19. Did I get that right? Barbie is going to play right field? Maybe I'm just confused because I'm an old guy. GET OVER IT.
  20. Old guys are cool.
  21. Sano hit his first spring homer today, and threw out a runner from right field. Presumably he was not crawling while he did these things?
  22. Per Phil Miller: Escobar was hit in the right forearm, but he's OK. Nothing serious.
  23. A Republican I can trust. http://www.npr.org/2016/03/06/469420705/colin-powell-gop-candidates-belittling-the-country-and-presidency
  24. I would never try it myself, because I know the secret.
