  1. Minnesota Twins 90-72 (Second in AL Central behind Cleveland, Wild Card #2) Offensive Player of the Year: Rosario Defensive Player of the Year: Buxton Overall Position Player of the Year: Buxton Most Home Runs: Sano Starting Pitcher of the Year: Berrios Relief Pitcher of the Year: Reed Twins Rookie of the Year: Garver, nearly by default
  2. This loss is on the offense. Score 4 legitimate runs in the first nine innings, and the 2-run outburst in the seventh and a meaningless HR off our closer in the 9th still results in a win. Instead, the two runs we actually scored were of the kind that would have us yelling "snakebit!" if it happened against us. Too many one-for-fives in the box score, not to mention the ofers.
  3. Felix Jorge was one of my adopt-a-prospect guys last season, and it was fun watching him progress. It didn't occur to me that he was among the longer-tenured players in the Twins system. I hope the mention of Mauer's name doesn't obscure the presence of these other players. Seth's right to highlight their longevity.
  4. This kind of thing has been brought up before, and it never seems to get traction. I confess to being unsure what is really wanted. When you say General Baseball do you mean MLB, or would topics like the St Paul Saints be included? A MLB-only Transactions thread? If so, how do people comment on an interesting transaction, without a single thread getting all tangled up with clutter if the discussion becomes heated? Other things MLB-related besides transactions probably are of interest too, so how do they fit into a single thread?
  5. I'll go 151, because, why not.
  6. Twins still Jonesing for an opening day win...
  7. Surprised not to find anyone ftfy already...
  8. LaMarre with the base hit, as expected.
  9. Eddie "Warning Track" Rosario!
  10. I clicked Like, but washed my hands afterward.
  11. And yet he doesn't get credit for one.
  12. Grossman in for Buxton. For better or for worse, some managin' is happenin'.
  13. HEY, add some spoiler warnings. My feed's about 20 seconds behind.
  14. Not on those first two pitches, they shouldn't have.
  15. Ima stick my neck out and guess Dick.
  16. Rosario forgot to slide. Kangaroo court fine!
  17. Thanks for the nothing-pitch to the righty on 0-0, Duke.
  18. NO JOB SECURITY ANYWAY, ONCE YOUR GUY DISCOVERS CAPS-LOCK.
  19. That was my qualitative guess. Good to see the numbers back me up.
  20. You'll have to consult with the guy who pulled Voros's name out of his ear.
  21. Esco-bear uses up maybe his week's entire allotment of luck with that little flare.
  22. You should have stuck with savoring "quantity" while you were ahead.
  23. Well played. I'll stop now that I know I'm outgunned.
