  1. Micah Johnson's not allowed to make that play at 2B, is he? It's the 7th inning, for goodness sake!
  2. Many's the time I heard "there goes Ol' Blunderbuss" as I headed to RF...
  3. Touche. (Presumably with an epee, which is even more accurate!)
  4. There ya go, Bubba. Comin' right along.
  5. Anguish teacher, did I hear you say?
  6. Speaking of Rangers, Colby Lewis is throwing a perfecto in the 7th against the A's. CBU, Texas edition.
  7. Yeah. It's a compliment to be said to have a rifle arm. I, at least, associate 12 gauge with shotguns. Which seems like a more scattered compliment to bestow... / A real gun expert can now tell me that 12 gauge rifles are a thing. Whatev.
  8. First base? I thought we were talking about third.
  9. Since you're not a USian, guess we give you a pass on knowing from birth the difference between shotguns and rifles.
  10. Cause and effect were quite evident.
  11. And a big thank you to all of you who stuck that fork in him in the first inning.
  12. Which one? Mark Reynolds' 223? He's not close to that.
  13. No one recognizes their Inner Vigoda until too late.
  14. “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Suffering leads to White Sox fanhood. Or vice versa it is? Forget, do I always."
  15. Won't get 'em. Not to any great degree, with or without term limits. Public office has too many downsides, for those actually doing things in life. I see it in our little town - civic minded people run for our equivalent of a town council, then get fed up mid-term and resign.
  16. Guess someone hasn't been reading the news...? Not sure even the SOX deserve that.
  17. Johnny Bench is just sitting around, probably waiting to hear the phone ring, I hear.
  18. Or, come for the weird, and stay because a baseball conversation accidentally breaks out.
  19. With I think all but the GCL team being above .500, I might have expected even a little better than 6th.
  20. 4. Profit!
  21. I think if we had term limits we'd have an endless succession of (looking at it positively) well-meaning folks who would pass unconstitutional bills that would be overturned instantly, leading to almost the same kind of gridlock as now.
  22. Thanks for the heads-up! Great news.
