    This team isn’t winning it all no matter what they do. That being said, I want to see this team in the playoffs even if they get bounced first game. It will be a hell of a lot better than I thought they would be this year. I will never like the Pohlads but their approach makes sense this year. Do a little to try and appease the fans after shi***** the bed last year while knowing we are a few years out from really making a run. This trade in particular is meh, but we need innings with all the young guys on limits so it’s fine. I disagree that a Gausmann type is the right move. Doesn’t change my first sentence. Ownership is nibbling a little…maybe like a piranha. This team is actually entertaining. P.S. I like Zebby. Improving every year and can go 6-7 innings. Has had a few really bad games but we got a chance with him most nights don’t send him to the pen unless it’s an innings limit methodology .

    When lineup spots aren’t guaranteed it increases competition. Handle the pressure, and you’ll stick around, until you’re traded (sorry couldn’t help myself). I find myself enjoying a team where merit gets you playing time and new faces get a chance to play before they rot away in AAA.

    Austin Martin the end of ‘25 stud has the same AVG as his SLG at .214. Granted he gets on base and I don’t hate the guy but no XBH in 7 games. Just another example of a flawed system that is not going to age well. I’m ready for new blood making mistakes and at least learning with a long leash.

    “Hopefully this trip back to the minors can help Miranda on his path back to being back at his best, because we know what he's capable of too.” Really Nick? Another trip back will hopefully show us what he’s capable of? He had a 2 week stretch once. Outside of that he can’t hit, can’t field, and can’t run. God, if this is a guy we ever want back in that clubhouse it’s worse than we all thought.

    The clean up hitter has 1 xbh w zero hr and sub .300 slg. Guy hasn’t hit a hr in 32 games. Seriously…

    It's just really unfortunate. I know anyone can look this up but some notes looking at both Bux and Sano since their arrival in 2015, and yes, I get that there is a rookie season with limited AB's and a pandemic year in here but you get the point. Buxton has one season with 93 or more games (140 in '17) played. Ooooff-dah Buxton has 6 seasons (going to include this year) under 93 games played. Buxton has 1 season with over 300 ab's. Sano has never played more than 120 games in a season. Ouch Sano has 4 seasons below 81 games played Sano has only 2 seasons with more than 400 ab's, '16 & '17. The availability/reliability for whatever reasons of these two guys has had a lot of negative repercussions over years. Next year will be Bux's 8th year in the league, however, on a 162 game per year basis his on field time will most likely be only around 3 years at the start of it. Bux only has 373 more ab's than Robbie Grossman did with the Twins and he only played for 3 years. Yuck.
