    the Twins have taken the stance that AAA is for the washed up vet hitters & AA is the place for prospcts to play fulltime. They let Chris get a full yr in there last yr to get his ABs....no AAA promotion. He is better than a washed up vet, but they believe he has done all he needs in minors.

    As a Mauer fan....ive come to realize he wont hit 28HRs again but i want more doubles. In 2009, many claim his HRs came from left field in Dome & that was true of many of his 16 dome homers. This isnt happening at Target Field & is the common HR excuse. He also hit 12 road homers......what happenned to that power? 23m isnt the reason i get upset with him ..... its the ISO power numbers....mix in a double

    if Gardy looked at numbers, Drew Butera would never get into a game. Luckily for him, he looks at outside things....like 'is he a friend with his dad' or 'has this guy kissed my ass enough'.......we wonder why this time has only won one playoff series despite being ahead in several & favored in others

    Hauser is the perfect example of how slowly MN promotes guys thru the system despite the player earning it. Matt is 24 yrs old & has spent the better parts of 2 yr in Ft Myers to great results 50gms (over 2 yrs) 88.2IP 69h .210 BAA 2.23 ERA 86k 32bb....how much more does he need to prove??? Currently New Britian is at 23 total players (11 pitchers) & they refuse to promote him

    Agree that AJ deserves it over Joe & Willingham deserves it over Adam Dunn, who is actually listed as backup DH (anyone can do that). Mauers comments about the selection show how out of touch he is as he talked about Twins who should have been considered & mentioned Denard Span...WTF!!!

    Valencia may actually be a better bench player for Twins right now than Parmelee (who needs ABs more than Danny). He could DH/1B vs LHP when Justin needs time off. Would only be a pure backup to Plouffe

    not at all a Mauer hater, WAY more of a fan...but cannot stand that he cannot hit for extra base power (NOT homeruns...doubles). Hard to complain right now, but his ISO of .123 is atrocious. Stay healthy & catch more. A singles hitting batting champ is something Id give up for an everyday catcher
