    Yep squared, that's how I feel. Metrics are an interesting read from time to time but I wouldn't go near them with 30 foot pole while actually watching and enjoying a baseball game. I wonder what the sabre dudes were thinking when Hammer jacked that walk off over the wall tonight?.............That's not supposed to happen in the 9th with 2 on and 2 out in May at Target field against a left hander!!!!

    I'm also in favour of the return of Carew blue and am a proud owner of a number of pieces of that fine colours merchandise. It definitely needs some modernizing so running old school pics of Tom Brunansky in tight blue pants is not what I think proponents are advocating. Therein lies the essence of the new look, no tight fitting blue pants, we must go with the pro flare pant and run screaming from the tights. I mean my god can you imagine Capps coming out of the pen in those, talk about nightmares that go beyond what he did Sunday. Need to go two-tone, Carew Blue on a light grey pant.

    Duensing has to be absolutely beside himself to give up a GS to a hitter like D'Aza, what a way to piss away 8 good runs.

    Morneau just pasted the ball tonight, what a great sign along with Mauer hitting the home run. Lots of opportunities tonight with so many left on base, if that keeps happening it will swing our way. If not for Duensing blowing up we come back to win that game, not to castigate him unfairly but a tough one to take because he's been so reliable. If Devries can chew up some innings and keep the long balls down he'll serve us alright. He threw a lot of strikes tonight, that's positive.

    According to my math Ryan Doumit is actually hitting .423 using the standard 1.609 km to mile conversion. That's how we do math in Canada, it's a clever trick by the government to convince us we're getting more for less, i.e. 1 gallon of beer= 3.78 litres, 3 is bigger than 1, therefore I should pay 3 times what an American pays for a case of beer. Stay away from metric.

    Nice to see Mornie at 1st again, will be interesting to see how Diamond fares with Joe catching 2nd time around............................not that I think Butera should be playing instead, I'm not a big believer in personal catchers.

    Here's the point, it's none of our f****ing business what Walters wants to do to honour his daughter and everyone should just butt the hell out and trying to judge what is right or wrong. JB I'm sure P.J. Walters doesn't give a rats ass whether it bothers you or not or whether you think he should cherish his privacy more. He does it for his daughter and himself and I'm quite certain if any of his cyber critics actually had the chance to bring it up to him they would quickly excuse themselves from the discussion.

    +1.....the game threads from last night cracked me up, it was 9-1 and Walters was cruising yet there were still things a few guys needed to wring their hands about. It's like guys are afraid to cheer for him lest they look like idiots if he falters, who cares, he's playing great, I for one love it.

    If he keeps command of his pitches like he has then you can have as much tape as you want.

    The only question mark is whether Walters can continue to execute the way he is now. There is nothing to say a team is going to all of a sudden start hitting him all over the yard just because they have seen him before. I don't see anything that indicates Walters tips his pitches so as long as he maintains his command, keeps mixing his pitches and effectively changing speeds, why can't he continue to have success? Isn't that what all good pitchers do?

    It's impossible to understate how huge it was for Walters to give the pen the night off, desperately needed after the Marquis debacle.
