    Flores could have definitely looked Hosmer farther back to the bag before throwing out the runner.

    Ok, a bit hyperbolic on my part, but not 40%, I disagree. Looking at the replay, when the ball goes past the plate, Hosmer isn't even in the picture yet, a decent throw nails him and it appears he didn't have to hurry all that much really.

    I've know, but they all pretended like Duda's throw was an after thought. I also like how a huge gamble by Hosmer, one which he's probably thrown out 99 times out of 100 has become the greatest base running play in WS history to Joe Buck.

    Harvey's ego could cost the Mets this game. Can't believe Collins let himself get talked into that, even if Familia has struggled.

    Inspired effort by the Gophers and Leidner, they were the better team and deserved a better fate. Disappointed in the 16 seconds that ticked off the clock at the end but I applaud Claeys for going for the win. Too bad they didn't get it.

    Wanted full control and didn't feel he would under Shapiro. Sportsnet reported Shapiro "scolded" him during their one meeting this summer for trading away so many prospects. This has been a bit of a quiet discussion point since it was announced Shapiro would be the new President.

    What sad news, Kill seems like the most genuine of people, I feel awful for him. It's a huge blow for the athletes he cared so much about and needless to say the program as a whole. I was a big fan of Kill's, despite some of their struggles this year, I thought he was establishing a standard of excellence at the U which was going to be sustained. What I liked most about him,was that he did it without giving off a shred of self interest. Hope he finds happiness away from the field.

    Baseball is a veritable Magic Kingdom for children, compared to hockey. There are two things to do at a hockey game, watch the game (and unless you have an aisle seat don't think about getting up before the period ends), and watching the zamboni during intermission. Literally nothing else happens I don't think it's much for the Twins to incorporate some fun kids activities. If our little independent park here in Winnipeg, where the Goldeyes play can add pitching and batting cages, along with a little play park, I'm sure an organization the size of the Twins could manage it.

    Wow, with respect to the 6 people that lost their lives, that could have been a lot worse. Very fortunate that storm hit in such an sparsely populated area of Mexico and never had the chance to create a significant storm surge. Thank goodness.

    Glad he saw it and nobody had to notice for him, it's always sad when great players have to be told to leave. Torii had a great career and treated all of us to some great baseball, in the end I'm happy he went out as a Twin.

    I suppose if it's an "after all other angles fail to materialize" situation. It's all those other angles I'd like to see first.

    So is it a priority to get better catchers? Or get their catchers to play better? I'm not convinced it's the former. The A.J. thing is beyond me, c'mon already.
