  1. On the radio broadcast they said he was activated and optioned to AAA.
  2. Correct me if I am wrong, but, without someone going on the DL, Tonkin has to go back down since he was just optioned down within 10 day.
  3. I heard on the radio broadcast that Arcia is going to be reinstated from the DL and optioned to AAA.
  4. For more poetry today, I heard that Casey At Bat was first published on this date in 1888 or something like that.
  5. Just saying, but it has been rumored many time on MLB trade rumors that Boston won't include him in a trade for Hamels. I get that money and other prospects are involved but why would they even consider guys like Meyer, Gordon, Pinto, Santana....
  6. I am pleasantly surprised by the results of the entire staff. I wouldn't have guessed that this group could perform at this level together for the length of time that they have.
  7. I am pleasantly surprised. I was hoping for .500 this year. They have played a lot of division games and have fared well with the exception of Detroit and other than the first series, they had a chance to win a couple other series with them. We know reinforcements are available and coming soon so I am going to enjoy this ride and hopefully there will be meaningful games late in the season.
  8. My favorite current stadiums: 1) Kauffman - Absolutely beautiful. The openness, the fountains, and until last year, it was easy to get great tickets for cheap. 2) Target - Not a thing I can say negative about it. Great stadium. 3) The Big A - It was under construction when I was there back in 96. Saw a freeway series game and the only brawl I have seen in person. Other stadiums 1) Yankee Stadium - Old and dingy but walking from the concourse and seeing the field seemed like you were walking into a history book 2) Metrodome - Not my favorite, but at least you knew you were going to see a game. That was always a plus for me when you drive 5 hours to see it. 3) Shea - Nothing special about it.
  9. Stauffer needs to go and Boyer isn't too far behind him.
  10. Personally, I wouldn't want to be near there whether it was for a game or not. I understand the safety concern but it would have been nice to move the game to either Philadelphia or D.C. since both are on the road. On a lighter note, I was thinking there were a few games the past couple of falls that Target Field was closed to the public but that was just a bad product on the field that no one wanted to see.
  11. Maybe I am on the opposite thinking of everyone here but if this draft is that weak, I would take the injury risk. I guess my thinking would be if you aren't getting an impact player because that impact player just doesn't exist, I would gamble to try and get one. If it was a loaded draft, I wouldn't do it but if you were ever to gamble and take a shot, this would be the time to do it.
  12. There is no joy in Wrigleyville for might Kris struck out (3 times)!
  13. Just a general question for all of you. What do you think a realistic season for Arcia could be if he has a year he is capable of having in terms of average and homers? Would it be too much to think that .280 and 35 would be doable?
  14. I just hope we left the clown car in Detroit and the Twins can actually field the real team. I am going to take my kids to the actual circus in a couple weeks. I don't need to see another one on the baseball field.
  15. Have the Twins tried giving Alex Meyer glasses? That worked well for Rickey Vaughn in Major League.
  16. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/03/quick-hits-forbes-yankees-kluber-aiken.html I can see Boston taking a chance on him if he is available. They can afford the risk.
  17. I think Graham is a lock now. I wasn't sure he was going to make it but now I would be surprised if he didn't.
  18. I think he is worth the risk if he is there at 6. From my understanding, he has already had the surgery. If you take him, he is going to be missing out on what up to 20-30 innings in rookie ball? He might be close to ready by the time extended spring training gets going next year. I think I would roll the dice on him if he is available.
  19. I am hoping by May 1st, they look different than April 1st.
  20. Last year we took our 3 year old and 9 month old twins. We used baby carriers and check our stroller. We were in the Legends Club but spend all of the time in our seats rather than in the concourse. Take your kid and enjoy your family. Don't listen to the haters.
  21. If Meyer, Sano, Buxton, and Berrios all debut this year, will they all hit free agency in the same year as well?
  22. I really don't care how anyone ranks them. All I care about is that they reach the bar we are setting. How fun will it be to go to a weekend series in a few years and watch Meyer, Stewart, and Barrios pitch that weekend. IF they pan out, we will be blessed.
  23. For all the Jason Repko fans out there, you can see him in the Twin Cities this year. You will just have to go to St Paul to do so. Jason Repko signs with the Sioux Falls Canaries.
  24. Sorry for your loss. May great stories and memories like this be your comfort in this hard time.
