  1. All have reasons to sign or not sign. Just try to pick the right one I guess.
  2. I suspect a lot of teams will be reducing payroll, which would probably lead to an unusual off season. Not sure what to expect. If the Twins let both of these two go, it definitely would impact the lineup. If the front office really feel Rooker and Kiriloff are ready they would look like the replacements . If it led to better at bats from the whole lineup, it could still be a decent offense.
  3. Not sure it is wise to move on from Polanco as the starting SS based on 2020 results. Everyone is very quick to anoint Lewis as the next greatest thing based mostly on where he was drafted. It is very unlikely, but if Royce were to be the 2021 opening day starter and struck out twice and committed an error, I bet the posts would come in saying how he was rushed or is a complete bust
  4. I for one question Jeffers readiness to be the primary catcher. And question even more using Lewis as a utility player.
  5. Garver and Jeffers handle the active roster. Two AAAA guys handle Rochester. Austudillo is released.
  6. A whole bunch of unproven players on this roster. And I don’t understand the need to turn the #1 prospect into a utility player
  7. I am not convinced turning the #1 prospect who barely has 100 ab’s at AA into a utility player would be a great idea
  8. If the Twins can get off the focus of the only hitting homeruns offensive strategy and Max hits 270 with 15-20 homer's, plays a very good right field and a passable center field (Buxton is gonna miss time), then they should keep him
  9. Can’t really see the Twins committing 300+ million to one player
  10. If Rooker and Kiriloff are deemed ready for the major league roster, it is probably time to move on from Cruz.
  11. Not sure a lineup of 4-5 rookies would be the best way to plan next year. With no minors last year, really hard to gauge the level of development.
  12. To summarize. Molly didn’t use enough analytics and sucked. Rocco uses too much analytics and sucks. Sure hope the next one can do it just right.
  13. Why would the Twins non-tender or trade Rosario?? He fits perfectly with their current strategy of aggressive swing for the fences at bats and below average fielding and base running.
  14. Seems even more logical in that case
  15. Assuming Odo wasn’t healthy to go tonight. It really came down to Bailey or Dobnak. And neither one likely makes the post season roster anyways. Seems like a logical place to start Bailey
  16. If Dobnak makes the postseason roster, than who doesn’t?? Alcala? I would rather have Alcala.
  17. Marwin and Ehire will continue to serve as the first choice replacement infielders, as they should.
  18. No interest in any of these today. Re-evaluate on June 1st.
  19. I wonder what kind of year it could be if Sano, Buxton and Berrios could all stay mostly healthy and play near the top of their potential?
  20. As a non-roster invitee, why not...I suspect a lot of other teams would make the same offer to him
  21. If José, Jake and Pineda are all pitching well at the trade deadline, would a trade even be necessary?
  22. Signing Castellanos might make the team a little better this year, but I would prefer developing Kirilloff, Raley, Graterol, Duran, Berríos, Lewis etc into major league contributors next year
  23. He didn’t look all that major league ready late last year. The best options look to be to either use him as a trade piece. Turn him into a full time reliever (but the 8 man bullpen looks pretty full already). Or try to develop him into a 2021 starter in Rochester this year.
