  1. All the bus boys are around .200 in their busing opportunities. The bus boys from the other restaurants are trying to knock the water carafes with a slices of lemon off your tray. But perhaps most importantly. The customer screaming for the head of a bus boy doesn't know what the bus boys do?
  2. Those teams rank 3,1,5 and 6 in Home Runs. and 4,3,16 and 11 in Runs Scored So.. our 47% isn't off the charts. Perhaps... we are just looking at the way baseball is played in 2023.
  3. If you golf... you should golf. If you sing... you should sing. I'm going to try other B.T.O. songs until I find one that fits. You Ain't Seen Nothin Yet.
  4. I'm going to assume that 47% is high.
  5. I did it quick... Maybe too quick. Thank You for the Correction.
  6. I did some quick math. 91 Home Runs We scored 131 Runs off those dingers 52 Solo 24 with one runner on 9 with two on 1 Granny the Team has scored 313 Runs total So 32% So now the question is... how does that compare to our peers.
  7. Not a Hijack at all. This conversation should go where it goes.
  8. I'd like to know that as well but for this year my curiosity is really high. I know that we have produced some runs without the long ball but I can barely remember those moments. Our performance with the bases loaded has got to be almost record setting bad. Has the home run been our primary source of offense. My gut says Yeah... I think it is.
  9. I don't know the answer - I'm not sure where to find the answer. I'm hoping someone knows and can provide. What is the percentage of runs scored via the home run and how does it that number compare with other teams in baseball. I'm only asking because it seems like the only way that runs cross the plate with us. It has to be a high percentage.
  10. What song should I use for the melody. Bachman Turner Overdrive - Takin' Care of Business didn't fit.
  11. I got to run to Fargo and back tonight. I had a nice streak of watching Twins game going that will be stopped. If the Twins score 10 runs tonight... I know that the offensive issues are on me. Have a fun game thread tonight. Stay happy everyone.
  12. My wife is growing cilantro and spinach in a planter outside. I can see green coming out of the dirt. I'm hoping they are growing some relievers on the farm. BTW... My wife isn't crazy... I actually like cilantro on stuff.
  13. Unless there is an injury... I'd bet a large sum of money that Varland will be reporting to St. Paul. I'm Ok with that.
  14. Remember the Minneapolis Miracle against the Saints. I was watching the game with my youngest son... we were pretty bummed because we knew the odds were against us. My son thought it was over with 10 seconds left with no time outs and down by a point and the ball is on the 40 out of field goal range. I told my son we had one chance... a 20 yard out... and get out of bounce right away and we kick a 50 plus yard FG... maybe a penalty. OK...that was the plan... I was locked into it. My son and I were standing up... before the ball was hiked... I was already saying get out of bounds and I kept repeating it... get out of bounds... get out of bounds over and over again... as the ball was thrown... I was still saying get out of bounds... get out of bounds. The Vikings ran would I said they had to... 25 yard out to Diggs... Diggs comes down with the ball and I'm now screaming... GET OUT OF BOUNDS... GET OUT OF BOUNDS. Never mind that the safety took the cornerback out and Diggs had the end zone waiting for him untouched... I think I stopped yelling get out of bounds around the 5 yard line.
  15. I got into this with another poster when Solano was picked off at 3B on the Gallo double. I don't have the answer but I have to ask. I hope this conversation goes better. What was Watkins doing? Did he hold up the stop sign on the Lewis single? Did Solano "make(made) an out on the bases earlier in the series or did Watkins make that out earlier in the series? I don't know myself but the 3B coach makes the decision because the 3B coach is the one who can see the play as it happens. On the Gallo double... I've read that Watkins was pointing to stand up and then he started to wave him home as he was slowing and then changed his mind again with a 2nd late stop sign. I didn't see it... but if true... is that on Solano or Watkins? Lots of people think it was awesome that Castro ran a stop sign and scored against Milwaukee last Tuesday. It was awesome because it was a huge run at the time. But, Lets be honest... he ran a stop sign... he shouldn't have done that.
  16. Great post and I think you would back me on what I'm about to type. It's really hard to know how to work with others when you work directly with them. It's much much harder if not impossible to know how someone else should work with others when you have never met any of them.
  17. This for anybody who wants to take a stab at it. Name a manager who wouldn't get the bullpen up and going after a single and 3 walks in an inning and 75 pitches through 4 innings.
  18. Interesting lineup... 3 lefties starting against the left-handed James Paxton. Closer examination reveals that Paxton is tougher on right handed hitters over his career and even more so this year. Paxton Splits: Career vs LHB - .285/.344/.395 vs RHB - .228/.284/.376 2023 vs LHB - .320/.414/.560 vs RHB - .196/.240/.340
  19. I can name them all Sleepy, Dopey, Irritable, Ecstatic, Apprehensive, Sneezy and Doc
  20. I'm with ya Signing the wrong player is a mistake that I can live with. Doubling down on the mistake with playing time is one that I can't. It's not what you do... It what you do after that matters.
  21. I'm not including Wallner's minor league work during this 30 day time frame. In the past 30 days Wallner has as many or more hits with the Twins than Gallo, Kepler, Buxton, Polanco and Larnach. Wallner has out hit those guys and was only on the roster for 3 games in the past 30 days.
  22. I'm not quite where you are yet when it comes to the actual pointing of weapons at them but I got some the same concerns. This probably doesn't help but in the step in a right direction category. With the team basically healthy... at least in the OF. Kepler has sat 4 of the last 6 games. Two were against left handed starters but that's 50% against right handed starters. One of those starts was with Varland on the mound and I think it's possible that Kepler will be a personal OF caddy for Varland because of Varland's fly ball ratios. In other words... we may be looking at the beginning of the end. 😎
