  1. Just talking baseball — no shade intended. It's always interesting to see former Twins pop up, especially when they’re starting against us. Wasn’t trying to take a dig at the front office, just adding context. Happens every season in every fanbase.
  2. I'm sure they are. Henriquez wss a victim of these Twins FA pickups Harrison Bader (OF) – signed Feb 7 to a one‑year deal Danny Coulombe (LHP) – signed the same day to another one‑year contract So why is Henriquez doing so well in Miami but struggled in the Twins organization? That's just baseball, or he wasn't coached well? Cano is another example. Twins trade him in August of 2022. In 2023 he's an All-Star.
  3. Speaking of Wentz and winning trades. Still a small sample size, but Alcala has yet to surrender a run with Boston, including inherited runners. It wasn't working here in Minnesota, so hard to blame the Twins for trading him. But yes, his replacement is worse. Just for clarity. Alcala was traded for Andy Lugo....Wentz was claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh. Now, Alcalá obviously isn’t Big Papi, but the fear is real — a guy with elite stuff (upper 90s fastball, nasty slider) who never quite put it together in Minnesota, only to blossom somewhere else!?!? If that happens, you have to ask why?
  4. Gipson-Long was given up for 2 months of Fulmer in 2022. Good trade for Tigers.
  5. Here's the Royce Lewis sequence so far: Missed 35 Played 30 Missed 20 (hypothetical next 7 games) 🔜 Played 15 🔜 Missed 10 🔜 Played 5 Translation: Royce is trending toward a point where he plays zero games and misses zero games — also known as season shutdown, which will happen on game 115.... Game 115 lands on Monday, August 11, in the Bronx.
  6. I really don't get the Rocco extension...especially the timing... It's like giving your dog a treat after it peed on the carpet.
  7. I missed the game and enjoyed the recap even though the Twins keep inventing new ways to almost win.
  8. Only way I'd watch this team is if they brought back Bert .. BUT only the unchained edition. Let him really say what he wants this time. No filter. Just Bert, beer, and brutal honesty. example: “Well, that curveball was hung like a Christmas ornament, and guess what? Santa hit it 450 feet.”
  9. Wow...just check on the game. Same song different verse. Tanking While Insisting Nothing’s Stagnant "We believe in this group." -- Derek Falvey
  10. Glad I totally missed this blunder. On another note. Why does my minds eye see a porta-potty in this image.
  11. This game revealed another classic Falvey blunder: Falvey's strength was suppose to be his ability to spot good pitching. Traded Trevor Megill to Milwaukee for a "player to be named later"... and eventually got Taylor Floyd, a fringe reliever who’s now in Double-A for the Mariners after being poached in the minor league Rule 5 draft. Meanwhile, Megill’s throwing 99 in high-leverage spots for the Brewers. Add it to the growing list of giveaways that somehow always manage to make the other team better. Falvey's Trade Motto You win some, you lose most.
  12. Ryan wasn't drafted...TB selected him. Came to Twins in Cruz trade. Probably Falveys best trade. Twins got SWR and Martin for Berrios. (Twins did win that trade. ) typo Meant to say DIDN'T.
  13. Berrios...whom they traded...and Ober. That's it...TWO.
  14. You could watch Little House on The Prairie for free on-line.
  15. Right...could be 3-0... Watching a few innings is my limit today. Pohlads expect people to actually drive downtown to watch this stuff. Wonder what % are Brewers fans today?
  16. I believe the theory is to let the opener polish off the first 3 hitters...then your starter begins his day by pitching to the weaker heart of the order...the 4-9 guys. Then, when the 1-3 guys see your starter...it's their first look. Is their any advantage to this strategy? Slight if any. Few teams do it.
  17. Since getting pasted by Oakland 14–3, the Twins have completely unraveled. First 60 games: – ERA: 3.37 – Last 15 games: – ERA: 7.90 – Runs allowed: 118 Somehow they've won 3 games.
  18. 9-0 Twins are surrendering football scores like they think the AL Central is the NFC North.
  19. Or...as my dad use to say... "they couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a handful of gravel."
  20. Wow...just brutal—if the Twins hit four grand slams today, they might still lose by a run.
  21. Pohlads rack up $425 million in debt and the franchise is worth $1.7 billion. Welcome to capitalism with Cracker Jacks.
  22. It's called Baldelli-ball. Uncreative and predictable.
