  1. Rocco should go over to the White Sox dugout and say: "How do you like me NOW!!!" Better yet, put the song on over the loud speaker!
  2. Welcome to Pin Ball arcade at Target Field. Here, you better wear a neck brace! Buckle in and watch the balls fly!
  3. Chicago: Puts up a three spot in the third inning. Twins: Don't make us angry. You won't like us angry!
  4. As long as it is reasonable. One or two year deal. All I can think of is Phil Hughes. But I do like Pineda and hope for a much better time of it than Hughes had when he signed an extension.
  5. Looks like the White Sox woke up a sleeping giant! Great response in three straight innings!
  6. I hope not. Because there usually isn't enough room for three great teams in a single division. We know Cleveland will be good for a long time and I am really hoping that Levine is putting in place a strong Twins dynasty in the division. There isn't enough room for three teams. Here's hoping Chicago, KC, and Detroit are bad for a long time! And yes, I admit to being biased against Chicago, they have always been my number two rival, right behind the Yankees. My mantra has been: "Beat Chicago" for the last 17 years!
  7. I remember at the beginning of the year, the Mets were being touted as a contender this year.
  8. Hurrah for Nelson Cruz and hurrah for the Mets!!
  9. BIG inning right here! Take it to the LIMIT! LIMIT!!
  10. I think I know what we need at Target Field to break the bad spell! How about a homerun quartet with straw hats that sings with every homer?
  11. And just like that..We're back in the game!
  12. GO METS! I thought we all needed a small break for a positive just about now.
  13. And Jose Abreu is on fire in this series!
  14. The bottom line is if we can not go out and get somebody better than Kyle Gibson this offseason that's pretty sad of our front office. I believe we will find someone better though and I look forward to the day when Gibson signs with another team. His career in light of being such a high draft pick, has been very disappointing in all aspects. It's unfortunate but some guys just never reach their potential, some don't even come close. I think Gibson had what it takes to be a great pitcher, but I don't think he will ever be one.
  15. Born in Bismarck, ND and have lived here almost my entire life. Love the cool climate as I really do not like the heat. I am 36 years old. Do not remember how I came across Twins Daily for the first time. I think it was around the time the Twins site took their message board down. I played baseball into my mid teens. I loved the hot corner at third. Loved to swing that bat and was a decent fielder, too! Favorite player was obviously number 34: Kirby Puckett! Got to see him play at the Dome in 1993 against our bitter rival in those days: the Oakland A's when I was 10 years old! Most underrated Twins player would be Shane Mack. The Mack Attack was a great hitter for a few years there. Favorite current player would probably be Luis Arraez. He will be a great one, I believe!
  16. This is very true. But I seem to remember even in the 90s when we had some really bad teams, I always looked forward to when we would have a homestand. I don't remember audibly groaning when the Twins came back to the Dome like I have done very often since 2010. That doesn't mean I want the Dome back but I vividly remember even Morneau not liking the dimensions of Target Field, (right field high wall). I get the sense that the Dome was something that helped this team, whereas to be quite honest, there have not been very many magical moments at Target Field in my memory. In summary, I don't really like the place.
  17. I don't know the statistics but it just feels to me like Target Field has been a really tough place for the Twins to play since it opened in 2010. Maybe I just got spoiled with how well we played in the Dome many of those years.
  18. At least one is vital, I would think. It's going to be tough against Giolito but I think this loss tonight magnifies the importance of this series. This kind of series is dangerous in a pennant chase.
  19. One thing I have noticed about the White Sox manager is that he is old school BIG TIME! I can't say I don't respect that! Suicide squeeze? Old time hard ball right there. Grounder to third, throw it home? Old time play right there. In the last series in Chicago: Drops a pop up? Freaks out on the infield! Old timing material! Like it!
  20. As much as I really like Gibson as a human being, I will be very happy when he signs elsewhere this offseason, (hopefully). I'm not exactly sure what it is about his pitching all these years, normally I would be happy with a pitcher that has an era in the 4s. Maybe it's because I believed and still believe that he was better than what his career has turned out to be.
  21. I like their bullpen a whole lot. It's solid. But their lineup is quite a few years away, in my opinion. I don't think Bremer's wish to see a competitive White Sox club is in the near future.
  22. HUGE game tomorrow. Giolito pitches Game Three. Although we did hit him last time out and Odorizzi is a decent pitcher. I get the feeling we can beat just about any starter in the league, (except Nova). Nevertheless, I feel tomorrow is a really big game.
  23. 1. We had to play in our 'house of horrors', Target Field this evening, so it was going to be tough to begin with. (I actually wonder if it is the loud music they play when we are batting? Distracts our hitters at Target Field? I don't know what it is. All I know is this team is a very different team at Target Field.) 2. We needed a great outing from Kyle Gibson, didn't get it, Period. 3. Nova is on a roll lately. 4. White Sox bullpen pretty decent, actually. 5. Big loss to kill our momentum is likely.
  24. It's a good thing that Adrianza is still one of the slowest runners on the team because otherwise I would begin to wonder if that's the real Adrianza on the field getting multiple hits! Remember him in the first two months of the season? One of the worst hitting spells in the history of Baseball! In the history! You have to give credit to Ehire for working on his game! Good hitting from him!
