    I know Skubal is Detroit's #1 but he's 7-8 with a 3.6. Why is it the Twins routinely do nothing against every middling to below average starter they face?

    Sonny could through 8 scoreless tonight and still lose. This looks like another no scoring day.

    I would like to think that Johnson left because he didn't want to be part of the organizational overhaul of how they handle pitching. But I know that's just wishful thinking on my part.

    Yeah, cuz the bullpen never gives up runs.

    I completely agree with that. Which is why I think the Twins should give up whatever they have to in order to get Montas or Castillo or both at the deadline. Given that they were both developed by other organizations, they would immediately become the best starters the Twins have. If they're not willing to do that, they might as well sell at the deadline because they're not going anywhere.

    Welp, on the bright side, instead of having to pinpoint something to improve on in the second half, the twins just have to improve everything.

    Does the organization coach pitchers up to hang a breaking ball with 2 strikes? Sure seems like it.

    There needs to be a meeting. Twins relievers will always hang a breaking ball with two strikes. And opposing batters know it, cuz it's a HR every time.
