  1. Would be very Minnesota like to sweep the opening series then go home for the offseason. ALWC parade gonna be dope
  2. If you’re talking all teams sure, but the teams we’d play in the opening round all have great number 3’s Jays- bassitt/kikuchi Mariners- Kirby Rangers- Gray/Dunning Jays and Mariners third guy is definitely better than ours right now. Rangers is a toss up but they also just lost Scherzer
  3. Who the hell is our third starter at this point? I have no confidence in Ryan, Maeda or Ober in the playoffs at this point I guess I’d choose Maeda if I was forced to make a choice but ugh, the starter depth just isn’t there right now.
  4. Great article and I’m glad you mentioned Arraez. People screamed for years that he should be in the lineup and I called him borderline unplayable vs lefties. The stats backed it up. He was awful against lefties. His first year away from MN, he’s hitting .328 with a very manageable .744 OPS he struggled to get a .600 ops in some of his twins seasons. So my question is, is this a Twins development issue? Wallner looks bad, Larnach looked bad, even Kiriloff who has all the tools to hit lefties can’t seem to do it. Hell, even our righties haven’t hit lefties the last few years.
  5. At this point I’m not too worried about individual losses. They’ve basically clinched and are locked into the 3rd seed. I do think it’s time to start giving guys like Correa, Julien some rest for the playoffs. Hopefully Varland continues looking good and Stewart can return because Jax has worked himself out of a setup spot.
  6. Very excited for the future for these young guys but they just swing at everything. That was not a pitch to hit, Lewis. Just cause it’s in the zone doesn’t mean you have to swing if there’s 0 or 1 strike.
  7. The twins just don’t take pitches anymore lol. If it’s anywhere near the zone they’re swinging hard.
  8. I’m so over Correa this year. Move him down to 7th, take advantage of his solid defense and just forget about him until next year. He was going to swing at that pitch regardless. Worst hitting starter on the team. Just keep swinging at balls all season long
  9. He was on pace for about 175-180 innings before they shut him down. If you think that’s easy for a guy who has never come anywhere close to that many innings at any level of baseball then I don’t have anything else to say.
  10. His inning career high was 108 and only threw 72 last year. They mentioned from day 1 that they’d need to keep an eye on his innings. So instead he threw every 5 games at AAA/MLB and tired out. Pretty simple to limit his innings during the season and they didn’t try.
  11. Went back and checked and his Fastball was 95 his first game back against Texas, so these last two games being so low is troubling.
  12. Kenta hasn’t looked good, they mismanaged Ober and Ryan’s fastball is at 90. The deep rotation is suddenly not deep at all.
  13. Two straight games for Ryan of 90-91 mph fastballs. Not inspiring much confidence for me as a playoff starter.
  14. Jeffers has an .832 ops. Let him swing the dang bat…
  15. Dick Bremer is so old 😂😂😂
  16. It’ll take some time, but Lewis will learn to foul off pitches that have a low chance of being a hit.
  17. So many starter give up their runs in innings 1-4. I feel like fans expect too much of starters who give up their runs later in games.
  18. Twins fans wanted gray traded cause he’d throw 4 shutout innings the five up 2-3 runs after that sometimes. The average start is about a 4 era. Uneducated fans expect too much:
  19. Wallner would be hitting top 5 every day if he learned to foul off the close pitches instead of hoping and praying for a ball
  20. Was that Griffin Jax drinking a mickeys in the pen???
  21. First off, Martin isn't on the 40 so there is no situation where he could play in the playoffs anyway. Beyond that, while I am excited for his future again, he's played 11 games in CF all year and 12 all last year. Last thing the Twins wanted is a situation where he's being thrown into CF in a do or die playoff game. Unless Buxton miraculously makes a comeback, the Twins CF will almost be guaranteed to be hitting 9th in the lineup. Consistent defense is all they're hoping for. Nobody wants Gallo to get CF ABs in the playoffs, but they have to keep their backup options available in case MAT doesn't come back.
  22. In my view, as long as MAT is on the IL they won't move on from Gallo. Gallo can play CF competently and the Twins want no situation where Stevenson is getting innings in the playoffs. Without MAT, the only playoff options in CF are Gallo and Castro. Kepler is not playing Center.
  23. It's as likely as Cleveland winning the division.
  24. 63 pitches and coming back out after a 66 minute delay. Can't say I'm very excited about this
  25. There have definitely been some great pitches to swing at and this guy is 100% getting way too lucky but it is funny to me that after walking two in a row the twins have swung at 12 of 14 pitches
