    They had King at 66 pitches through 3 instead of forcing him to continue to work out of trouble by being patient they’ve gotten 6 outs in 14 pitches. Why change the game plan? Make him work and make San Diego use their pen early in the series. Now he’s on pace to breeze through 6-7 innings really bad baseball

    They got absolutely demolished in the World Series. It wasn’t even close. Lots of mediocre teams make the World Series, few in the last couple decades have won. If you just wanna have a chance to make the WS, have at it, but that Dbacks team had no shot. It was an embarrassing World Series

    Alcala had given up the tying run 9 pitches into his outing yesterday if you think there’s ample time to warm someone up, then I’m sorry but there’s nothing else that can be said. Just block me if you think otherwise

    No there wasn’t. It was stated as so. Nobody was warming until the first run was given up. He wasn’t warm until he came in. You don’t waste an arm warming up unless there’s an actual issue.

    The Twins are working without their best a good chunk of the season and 3 rookie pitchers because they have owners who don’t care. The way they’ve played this year is incredible. These players, this coaching staff are incredible. With that said, everyone knows this rotation can’t compete in the playoffs

    This again… Alcala has been one of the best relievers on the team, he threw 19 pitches and got crushed. This isn’t a video game. There was not enough time to get someone warm and replacing him.

    Make King work again this inning and get him out after 4. Make their bullpen work today, that’s how you salvage the series. Pray Ryan can return. That’s the only hope

    He’s a pitcher who started the year in A ball. He should never be put in this spot. Anyone who expected for him to excel is insane.

    16 games over .500, 3 games out from having the best record in baseball, yet it doesn’t matter because the rotation is full of rookies. If they had owners that cared this team would be the favorite to win the World Series and it wouldn’t be that close. This team as is has no chance in the postseason.

    Zebby is not gonna get very far throwing just cutters and 4 seamers. Even Mariano couldn’t be a starting pitcher with the best ever.

    Don’t throw Royce a strike and he’ll never get a quality hit again. Seems he did quite a bit of learning from Buxton of old

    Since his hot start he’s been a below average hitter. His metrics support how his bat has looked since that hot start. his defense has been below average in all facets. Vazquez should be playing more.

    He hadn’t pitched since August 9th It was a much more winnable game at that point. He’s not exactly pitching like a closer this year. Alcala and Jax are better pitchers.

    What are you all arguing about lol? A 2 run deficit with 3 innings remaining and a 3 run deficit with 2 innings remaining are completely different scenarios. Duran had not pitched recently, he needed to pitch. Also he gave up a run lol and we’re screaming about wasting him? Y’all are insane today

    But if you pitch Jax and Alcala instead then they can’t pitch as much in the next couple days. You can’t be throwing your best pitchers into games they’re down 3 runs. if the twins win the next game by 1 run and have another small lead the next game you’ll be furious that Jax and Alcala were wasted today

    Duran had not pitched since the 9th it was 3-1 at that time with an extra inning for the offense to wake up. The offense has not woken up. This is not a realistic game to win at this point. They have 7 more games in a row after today

    It was a 3-1 game into the 7th at that point. A 3 run lead is a lot tougher to come back from with 2 innings remaining. Royals at a 91% chance of winning this game right now you just can’t burn all your top arms in a game like this. Duran also had not pitched in a long time

    I still can’t believe they have DFAd, released or demoted Staumont, Blewett, Bowman and Winder to keep Thielbar and Richards.
