    In what spot? The twins have over a week remaining without a day off. They have almost no chance of winning this game. Richards is awful and should not be on this team but this is the perfect situation for the bottom of the bullpen to pitch in

    It’s hilarious to me that they saw Richards 92 mph fastball with no movement and were like “yeah that’s what we need to add to this team.”

    I say yes. Add hill to the rotation, that will allow Varland to move to the pen Instant upgrade to the bullpen and probably a little more consistent of a rotation

    Outside of the games against the worst team of all time the twins have scored 4 or less in 8 of their last 10 Why are the bats so streaky?

    Honestly not much of a decision for me. Dobnak doesn’t help this team. Winder can give them innings when they need them, might as well see if Bowman can help this pen. Just letting him walk would be silly.

    Matt Bowman exercised his out clause today. Twins have to promote or release him. With Stewart done and Topa facing another setback why not give him a real shot? He’s made some adjustments on the mound and has had MLB success in the past. It’s not like there’s many options here

    The twins are the 9th best team in baseball at striking out this year. I heard that MLB.com added re-runs of some 80s seasons. You could just watch those and pretend those are real life

    I wonder if they’ll think about giving Headrick another chance this season if Thielbar and Okert continue to be awful. He’s seemed to embrace the 1 inning reliever role in AAA so far edit- forgot he was likely done for the year.

    They DFAd Staumont for this guy. Staumont was obviously over performing but his metrics are all better lol They’re actively making this team worse

    Guy isn’t even worthy of a roster spot. He’s been awful 3 years, the metrics back it up, but he eats innings during losing efforts, which is super helpful for a team with playoff aspirations

    I’m not expecting comments to be made publicly but I do imagine something will be said to at least Falvey or someone on his team. I doubt they have very much contact with Joe Pohlad

    Agreed, not sure exactly what Correa said but twins media sure made it seem like he spoke to Falvey and they agreed upon what was needed

    It’s time for Correa to speak up. He came here because he was under the impression they would go big. Instead they cut payroll and likely won’t act on his desire to add pitching. He literally spoke up about this a few weeks ago. He’s gotta be pissed right now

    I don’t see them shedding payroll because it seems they have an unrealistic amount of value assigned to guys like Kepler and Margot Doing nothing is a problem for me. They have a very strong farm system and strong major league talent. They cut payroll this past offseason, passing on the chance to turn this team into a legit WS contender. If they sit on their hands here then that tells me that they’re expecting payroll to continue to drop or stay at the level it’s at and that just being good enough is all that matters. It seems they have no interest in trading farm talent for a rental and a chance to win the title. it’ll be a return to the Gardy and Ryan days of just being good enough to not draw too much ire from fans. Luckily we have an actually good GM nowadays, but unluckily for us he’s likely going to move on to another team in the next few years.

    Yes I think they should, but they should have done that before the season started. There’s a few guys available that would slot well into the rotation and there are a lot of teams interested. I don’t see teams making a deal with the twins when the twins are the only team asking for salary relief in a potential deal.

    If Thielbar can’t dominate lefties anymore then he has no value. 1.000 ops to righties since the beginning of last year. This has to end soon

    Real question for MN Twins fans. Knowing who the owners are, who thinks the twins have a better chance to win a title before any of the other pro teams… Wolves, Wild, Vikings?
