  1. I personally can NOT WAIT for the regular season to start and have the Astros get abused by other teams fans at EVERY game. Its going to be glorious. I hope they dont even win 70 games. ( Unlikely) but man that would feel good.
  2. As long as that Female isn't Marney I would be game. I was not a fan of her when she was in the booth last spring. I'm sure shes nice and does a great job for the Wild / Wolves but I dont want her calling a big chunk of Twins games..I would rather mute the TV.
  3. Yeah its a little cringy sounding, like a children's cartoon show. As opposed to Donaldson's nick name "Bringer of Rain" which just sounds bad ass.
  4. Smalley would be better if he would know when to shut up. He rambles on, and on, and on...about a play that happened 2 batters ago and then catches up. I think thats something fans my Dad's age (60s) like. I would love for Smalley to be gone personally
  5. I mean, they already have T shirts and signs with it all over the place. I think its hear to stay sadly.
  6. I would be overly excited if Lindor went to a NL team and out of our division. He's annoyingly good and always causes issues for the Twins.
  7. I would want to be able to manufacture as many runs as possible as early as possible with this line up. Punch em right in the face and put the pressure on them to catch up. To do that You need people to get on base, and then people to drive them in (obvious I know). I like a lead off homer as much as the next guy, but I would prefer a first inning homer with people on base. I would do Aareaz, Polanco, Keplar, Donaldson, Cruz, Sano, Rosario, Garver, Buxton. To me, this makes no part of the line up safe, you have high contact, get on base guys in the 1 and 2 spots, then 6 straight batters that yes, may strike out a lot, but will also hammer the ball HARD. Then if buxton gets on base, the nightmare starts over. Not to mention everyone in that line up can hit a homer at basically any time as well. Thats my logic anyway.
  8. Kid has a long way to go before he can even be close to considered that reliable. As in years and years of consistency.
  9. Every argument you just made in this post is incorrect. Donnaldson and Mauer were and are two VERY different players signed for very different reasons. Mauer was a long term answer at catcher and was signed because he was one of the best hitting catchers to ever play the game but was signed thinking he could keep producing batting titles and be a great catcher. Well, one concussion later that all went down the tubes. Donnaldson is one of the better defensive 3bs CURRENTLY in the game and has MONSTER power, and that doesn't look like thats going away soon unless MAJOR injury happens. They are in no way a like. Also, Rosario is expendable imo, sub par defense, stupid base running and terrible plate discipline. If we could land a legit ace through a trade that involved Rosario I would do it in a heart beat. Addition by subtraction.
  10. Did you actually watch him play? He has been trash at the plate since he left the cities. We moved him later than we should have imo. Could have gotten more for him.
  11. Gentleman, gentleman. The solution is simple. We must only try and sign free agents that are SINGLE, that way we dont have to worry about what the wife and kids want and where they want to live. I know that limits the pool of who we can sign, but its worth it in the long run! -Thad probably -Michael Scott
  12. In regards to the RF play. Not true, at least, not if you're thinking right. There were two outs, bases loaded, down late in the game. Every single runner was off with the crack of the bat, as soon as that ball left the bat, two runners are scoring...period..end of discussion no one is going to get hosed at home. Best case scenario you get the ball into home plate right after the 2nd runner scores. He should have got in front of the ball, regardless of nasty spin on it and kept it in front of him and keep the game tied and live to see another batter, or possibly get the game to extras. That was a rookie way to approach a hit to the outfield with two outs.
  13. Agreed. Berrios cant be relied upon at all any more and Perez is who we thought he was. 2-1 would be great but we will be lucky if we dont get swept.
  14. Dont tell that to Yankees fans or the national media. JUDGE IS A GOD AND YANKEES STADIUM IS THE BEST STADIUM IN THE WORLD!!!
  15. Good thing he isnt our starting first baseman huh?
  16. I want what you're on. 3 game sweep in coming.
  17. This is not a one weekend observation friend. This is getting close to a two month observation and downfall. Their record since my time stated shows that. I no longer care about April and May. Its what have you done for me lately? Lately we've been playing like a bottom of the league team and im worried that that is going to become the norm. That dice analogy holds no relevance to what I am asking for.
