  1. I think Cave/Wade are better options for now. If Buxton gets hurt, then you can maybe swing a trade or waiver pickup for a center fielder if needed. Buxton’s projections seem way too low.
  2. Cruuuuuuuuuuuuuuz
  3. I still think Arraez is going to eventually be an above average defender at 2nd. He cares too much to not be.
  4. Maeda hate incoming..,,,
  5. Another fun matchup today. Maeda starts, Rosario, Cruz, and Arraez play, and we get to see Royce Lewis and Gilberto Celestino!
  6. Lavelle just stated it wasn’t an issue with the visa but with customs....
  7. The Tigers prospects won in a 5-4 walkoff victory against Southeastern University, a NAIA school... Twins currently up 16-0.... It seems that the Tigers won’t be good for a while longer..... Edit: 6 of their starting lineup have played Major League Baseball in the past....
  8. Tovar and Smalley deserve to be in. I assume Gardy will be inducted when he retires from coaching.
  9. Rob Manfred called the World Series a piece of metal. That’s rough. The worst commissioner in Major sports, ahead of goodell and bettman.
  10. Usually this is a 4-6 week recovery. He will be out for the first Twins-Indians series, given that he will have to play rehab games to make up for spring training. I feel bad for the guy. Lots of very unlucky injuries during the past few years.
  11. Indians pitcher Clevinger out with a meniscus tear. Should be back mid April to May but you never know with knee injuries. Tough break for Cleveland.
  12. Jomboy and Foolish BB have actually impacted MLB as a whole. The magnitude of the cheating wouldn't have been known without Jomboy’s videos, and I highly doubt Larry Walker makes it to the Hall of Fame this year without Foolish’s video. Baseball would be smart to let these guys make their money.
  13. 80 90 or 100 million dollar payrolls would not come close to bankrupting any teams. Enough revenue gets shared between teams to make this entirely feasible.
  14. He’s 100% right on everything. The marketing of players across the nation has been terrible. I personally remember a bunch of commercials with Mauer, Prince Fielder, Griffey, etc. Around here, a lot of my friends stopped being fans when the Twins took almost a decade off from relevancy, and are just back getting into it. FSN isn’t on every major cable provider, so a lot of people can’t even watch the games! Length of game isn’t an issue with streaming options, games just should start maybe half an hour earlier. Where have the ads been with Astudillo, Arraez, Kepler, Cruz, Sano?
  15. In football/basketball, stars dominate the game, and the best team will most likely win. In baseball, anything can happen, which is why there’s a long season to even out the results. Reward only the best teams every year. 1/3rd of the teams making the playoffs is enough, although a 3 game Wild Card playoff would be a decent idea.
  16. I think we are already there. Cave and Gonzalez would be full time starters in a lot of places, Rooker is knocking at the door, and Kirilloff and Larnach should be AAA after a month or so of the season. And I didn’t even mention LaMonte Wade Jr.
  17. Trevor Bauer on the proposed changes: “No idea who made this new playoff format proposal, but Rob is responsible for releasing it, so I’ll direct this to you, Rob Manfred. Your proposal is absurd for too many reasons to type on twitter and proves you have absolutely no clue about baseball. You’re a joke.“ Bauer is a loose cannon, but he’s right.
  18. I forgot about the trade deadline too. That would change the game immensely. More contending teams would equal less players available to boost a team’s hopes of winning it all.
  19. And did I see no game 163s!?!?!?
  20. The MLB should look at NASCAR’s quick descent as what NOT to do. What really needs to happen: Nightly national network broadcasts. Like TNT/TBS level. With that, a better crew (Vasgerian please). And please kick out Rob Manfred. I think Bud Selig was a way better commissioner that people thought. Get some of the top internet baseball personalities (Jomboy and Rob Friedman) on the shows. Make a hard salary cap at 200 million and force owners to pay 100 million to payroll without penalty (Yankees are nearing 30 straight years without going under .500). Get Oakland out of their dump and move the Rays to Montreal! 2019 was a dumpster fire in terms of competitiveness. That needs to change before it’s too late.
  21. Jair Camargo. 20 year old catcher in low A. Not a top prospect by any means
  22. November baseball in Minnesota would be bad (weather wise a least).
  23. I personally wouldn’t have him this high (I admit I overvalue the hit tool a lot). But that’s what it takes to be a MLB caliber hitter. I get that 25 games is a very small sample size. I bet he’s been working hard all winter, given his attitude. I like this kid, and hope he can succeed!
  24. Luke Raley sent back to the Dodgers. Assume that leaves the 40 man spot to Chacin
  25. If the trade keeps on getting better for us (like it appears to have here), I would be fine with Take 10!
