  1. Oh my gosh..your killing me! So much fun there. Always something going on. Thanks for sharing. My countdown is at T-11. Best time of the year.
  2. I agree he is a very talented individual. But will be struggles along the way. I'm a believer in him...but I don't expect him to exhaust his rookie status by age 21. Maybe getting feet wet. Everything would have to go right. Though I'd never bet against it either considering his makeup.
  3. Lots of talented people to choose from. I'm still riding the EMMA train as my choice. This years high pick will be in play as well for this spot by 2025.
  4. I agree probably wouldn't take this deal and his agent would advise him to pass as well. However if he did accept a deal like this or similar. Simply does not mean he isn't a competitor. Not sure of that reasoning. I think we all have seen just how competitive this young man is. If he wasn't a competitor he wouldn't have made it this far.
  5. I agree. Glad I finally yumoed into the caretaker fund fun with y'all. I have 14 days and counting till I can attend. Reading this new material is only making me more excited...and almost unbearable to my not yet retired wife! 🙃
  6. You maybe did not read the context of this response to a comment. I surely know and agree they are not a like.
  7. I'm guessing you were not big on somebody like Buxton to start. Considering he was all defense/glove and no bat first few years.
  8. Not sure we're to put this..so I will drop it here. There is a great program called Adopt A Minor Leaguer. I joined because well long story.... Anyways it has lead to life long frienships...which is secondary only to the fact many players can use the help. I would write an article about it, however my writing skills are subpar. If anybody has any questions Google it or feel free to ask me. Thanks!
  9. Thankyou Broch. I will be on the lookout. Thanks for all you guys do!
  10. Thankyou for the insight John. How long will you be there sir? This will be my 10th spring training. Hands down my favorite few weeks of every year. I've been blessed to make many new friends down at the Fort.
  11. Kinda funny story....I was introduced ti him when he first came to spring training by a batting coach...this was before he was on many maps. Me being the idiot I am asked "who are you?"...hadn't seen him play yet. Anyways after talking with him for a bit I loved the young man. Spoke with the coach after and he explained what a talent and even better person he is. Then I watched him play a handful of games and as I stated before superstar written all over him..and humble. We got to talk again and we just laughed at it. Just takes me as person that would be great at anything he tried.
  12. I agree. And I would not bet against him. May never be an everyday starter...not everyone can. But he has real value to the team. He has improved many times in his minor league career. Just because he has a high BABIP does not mean he can not adjust or continue to be an above average player. Solid utility player and good teammate. He has already proven many wrong..and I believe will continue to do so.
  13. Yes I'd envision if needed Julien would play 1st base before we turned to Polanco to man the cold corner.
  14. Best article AND comments of all time!
  15. I definitely must look threw bright rose colored glasses. Each player listed has a solid chance in my view to meet and exceed in many cases these goals. I don't see any of them being aggressive by any means on an individual per player basis. Not all will, but I mean Correa is still the same player with the same ankle he has had for the past how many years....Buxton I just feel will put a "healthy" season together at some point...but definitely would love to cut down on the strikeouts. The Gallo one scares me the most honestly. Not sure what to expect from him. Great write up.
  16. My question to anybody that may have input on him or an opinion. Wasn't he a top 100 global prospect back with Toronto..maybe even top 50 by mlb? If so why the drop? Was it the bad year in 21 or just new pitchers added to lists..or something I am overlooking? Thanks
  17. Well said. I know others think he got a bump for being new to our system. But I feel fans would and do have him lower and subtract .because he is not asknown to us as other stated prospects. While the national pundits seem to like him more than many TD posters. I believe he will earn this ranking and more this year.
  18. I feel these are really quality prospects. Three high round draft picks, a large bonus international signing and Canterino was higher this time last year....for our 11-15 prospects is solid. In my opinion anyway. We shall see how they fair though.
  19. Great question. While I have been very high on Rodriquez and believe he will be a top 20 prospect this time next year. I've been able to watch him play alot and his Latin coaches speak very highly of his character leadership and tools. I havne seen or met Mercedes yet but have heard great attributes of him as well. We should have a much clearer view of them both this time next year considering they both stay healthy. However neither of them quite have a Buxton ceiling yet. We should see a big year from Emma.
