  1. So our favorite Nick Gordon moment can only be that time the camera panned to him in the dugout.
  2. I expect 13-7 in the next 20 games or Baldelli's head.
  3. Will you follow the Saints?
  4. Kirilloff should have a real opportunity here and should be given some rope. I'm not sure where the opportunity is for Gordon past this weekend. Arraez has the best PAs on the team, Simmons is a wizard at short and was hitting, and Polanco appears to be turning the corner (325 OBP the last 10 games).
  5. Except that he chose to take a superior defender out of the game ... Usually, you want to get your superior defenders into the game late.
  6. Blankenhorn looks expendable. You need zero skill to stand on second and trot home after a homer and then cough up a routine grounder.
  7. Baldelli: "Yes, he was unable." Lasorda: "What? That's nothin' but a flesh wound, Nellie! Get out there and win us a game!
  8. Except that it hasn't worked, and players still miss time.
  9. Fire Baldelli!! Donaldson's contract and Buxton's emergence are being wasted. Donaldson isn't a slug, and Cruz doesn't play the field. Both substitutions were only done because Baldelli promotes thumb sucking and blankets.
  10. I would be OK with this, as long as said young bat can actually play RF. Rooker looked like less than a polished turd out there in Game 2 and was definitely instrumental in the loss. He also looked silly on Morelands first homer in Game 1. "Oh, there's a wall there?"
  11. After that Arroyo double, I thought you had this in the bag. My hope is that hit knocked the last bit of gunk off the flint in Colome's a$$-lighter, because he came back with back-to-back K's after that.
  12. What are those things? Coddling players? Weighing in on off-the-field nonsense? Great post, except for that sentence.
  13. You're on the right track here. Only one to go. Need Colome to step up and fulfill your prophecy today. Rocco makes boneheaded moves before every game when he submits the lineups.
  14. The Twins are playing the hottest team in baseball. The Braves, Yankees, Rays and Astros are all right there with the Twins as heavy hitters in the power rankings that are off to slow starts or are experiencing a losing streak. It's just the nature of the game. However, if there is something systemic that ends up keeping this team from reaching potential, there is a silver lining. Perhaps, Baldelli will be fired. If the dark lord came to me and said my team could not make the playoffs this year but after this season (or perhaps part way through) there would be no more Baldelli .... Soul sold.
  15. Not going to panic 10 games into the season with a .500 team on a snowy day after another series of off-field unfortunate events, but Baldelli's lineup today puzzled me. It doesn't get much colder than Garver/Polanco/Sano, and yet it was decided that said trio would be the heart of the order. I know the Cruz scratch f'd things up, but I'm still scratching my head on today's order. Arraez has a career 15% walk rate and 370 OBP against lefties, so I don't understand why he isn't batting leadoff every game regardless of handedness on the mound. Too bad Mike Bell isn't still around to bark in Roccobot's ear on that one. May he rest in peace.
  16. The sky is falling, but there's another game today.
  17. Despite another tough, late loss, the Twins are in position to win their first two series and have a winning road trip with a win tomorrow. Projecting doom and calling for players to be benched or sent down is just silly at this point.
  18. Sounds like Arraez was pulled for a tummy ache. Damn you, TD Comment Policy!
  19. Baldelli is an A.I. His lack of soul will probably present come playoff time again. Can you imagine if he had been the manager for the '88 Dodgers or '91 Twins? Gibson and Morris would have never had a chance.
  20. How about Miguel Sano 150 home runs and a shot at passing Dozier for top 10 all time in Twins history? Also, Miguel Sano - 1000 strikeouts
  21. Pfft .. Trudeau Good luck ever getting another team up there.
  22. At the end of the 2021 season, Miguel Sano will be #2 in Slugging Percentage, #2 in Strikeouts and #10 in Home Runs on the Twins All-Time Leaderboards.
  23. Good deal! I'm excited to watch Randy Dobnak fast paced baseball for the better part of this decade.
