Rocco can drop dead, if he pulls Happ while he still has a no-hitter. You don't take that away from a 38 yo.
  2. MMMordabito
    Very much so

    TORTUUUGA!!!
  4. MMMordabito
    Nice pick, Tortuga!
  5. MMMordabito
    Oh boy

Kirilloff should have a real opportunity here and should be given some rope. I'm not sure where the opportunity is for Gordon past this weekend. Arraez has the best PAs on the team, Simmons is a wizard at short and was hitting, and Polanco appears to be turning the corner (325 OBP the last 10 games).

Except that he chose to take a superior defender out of the game ... Usually, you want to get your superior defenders into the game late.

Blankenhorn looks expendable. You need zero skill to stand on second and trot home after a homer and then cough up a routine grounder.

Baldelli: "Yes, he was unable." Lasorda: "What? That's nothin' but a flesh wound, Nellie! Get out there and win us a game!
  10. MMMordabito
Except that it hasn't worked, and players still miss time.

Fire Baldelli!! Donaldson's contract and Buxton's emergence are being wasted. Donaldson isn't a slug, and Cruz doesn't play the field. Both substitutions were only done because Baldelli promotes thumb sucking and blankets.

It must suck having zero pitchers in the pen that you can count on.

I would be OK with this, as long as said young bat can actually play RF. Rooker looked like less than a polished turd out there in Game 2 and was definitely instrumental in the loss. He also looked silly on Morelands first homer in Game 1. "Oh, there's a wall there?"
  14. MMMordabito
Is Donaldson also wearing makeup? He looks like he should be the bass player for a band like Daughtry.
  15. MMMordabito
Way to set yourself up for the throw, Rooker. Isn't Celestino on the 40?
  16. MMMordabito
Dick, shut up about the trial.
  17. MMMordabito
    Even a blind squirrel ...
  18. MMMordabito
Gawd, Rooker is terrible out there in right.
  19. MMMordabito
At least I have Olson on my fantasy team

Rocco's probably too busy getting his thoughts together about the Chauvin trial. The Falvinelli 2000 has already spit out the Covid test results plus the lineups, allowed pitch counts, bullpen moves and players in need of coddling for both games today.

He did get tossed at least once in 2019. It appeared that he made some kind of condescending analytical remark to the umpire. There was definitely no pointing or emotion or bases being tossed into the runway.

"Pick a team and root for their demise" - Lewis Black Bad behavior, bad baseball .... it's all comedy to me when it comes to the New York Yankees and their fans. I hope it gets worse, because it's entertaining.
  23. MMMordabito
Definitely the Rays ... Hope they stomp the Yankees again tomorrow
  24. MMMordabito
(sigh) ... Well, at least the Rays beat the Yankees today. I guess I'll watch them until the Twins are back on the field. Certainly will suck to makeup West Coast road games.

After that Arroyo double, I thought you had this in the bag. My hope is that hit knocked the last bit of gunk off the flint in Colome's a$$-lighter, because he came back with back-to-back K's after that.
