  1. its either one of two things. They think that they will be in range at the deadline to trade some chips and make a serious title run, or....they have decided it's too expensive to keep all these guys and lose in the first round every year. I dont know who owns them but we all know how crappy the beginning stages of a rebuild are. The Twins can run things in the Central for a few years if they play these cards right. Hear me Derek?
  2. yep, and i still cant understand how they let us snatch up Gonzalez right under their noses when they needed him worse than we did. Mark my words, Houston is going to miss him way more than they care to admit as well. Already they are talking about Correa missing a bunch of time. Sano may have a tough time getting his job back from Astidillo and Gonzalez.
  3. Carrasco, Bauer, and Kluber have never stayed healthy for one entire season either. Unless they plan on being the 1981 Oakland A's they are in trouble. Their bullpen is more suspect than ours. It makes me furious to hear every so called baseball "expert" say they have no competition in the division.
  4. even with Lindor, Kipnis, and Ramirez healthy they may not even finish above the Royals.

  6. And for the record, I do respect the Cleveland Indians. I just think the national media is so in love with what they have done they fail to recognize them for what they are today. a .500 ball club that maybe is too arrogant for their own good. From the top down. I just hope we can give them a little reality check. If anyone remembers, last year at one point we were 7-2 against them. Lets hope the Falvines dont pull the plug too early this year. Lets hope they dont have to consider it as an option.
  7. Im sorry if I dont see this as a forum to enamor our number one rivals at this point in time. IMO Joe Mauer is a first ballot hall of famer too but i dont go on the Indians talk site(or whatever they call it) and blah blah blah about how great the Twins Organization is. Its up to you if you wanna let it go. There is a place for everyone to voice their opinions. I dont have to be a Francona fan if I dont see the brilliance and greatness that you apparently do.
  8. maybe while you are there you can quote us all the statistics of the last time the Cleveland Indians won a World Series title? I am sure my grandfather wasnt alive by then so he cant tell us.
  9. i think you should go ahead and do that. Make sure to use your Cleveland Indians mousepad and make sure to wear your Terry Francona signed 2016 world series loser jersey while you do that.
  10. I have been annoyed with them for longer than I care to admit. Nothing would make me happier than to knock them off their smug perch and watch them pout all winter.
  11. I just wanted to find a way to keep the guys that were out of options. Its too bad we lost Reed but at least he got moved to a National League team where he can't hurt us unless....., well you know. Also with the pitching depth we do have those guys on the I.L. can come back 100%. If Perez does seize a high leverage bullpen role(and he might!) whats wrong with giving Mejia a shot at the #5 starter. It's gonna be fun to watch!
  12. 92, cuz the baseball gods owe us a few lucky bounces
  13. You can crown him as the greatest manager ever if you'd like to, its a free country. And lets have this convo after this season because nobody is gonna hand him anything this year. (except an elite rotation)
  14. i am SOO EXCITED to see these turn it loose!! GO TWINS!!!
  15. you should tell her she is absolutely right about that and shame on the Twins for assuming Joe should already be in the Twins "Hall of Fame!" L.M.M.F.A.O
  16. What a waste of excellent starting pitching. Id take Gardenhire in the 2000's over Francona any era. The bottom line is in my opinion this is the year they fail to play extra games. But then again with his track record I am sure we can justify it's ownership's fault not his. Lmao.
  17. You are absolutely right, I cant believe the Yankees didnt snap him up for 20 mil a year when they had a job opening.. when I use the term exposed I mean he will pay the price for playing Melky Cabrera, Brandon Guyer, Lonnie Chisenhall, Raj Davis, Austin Jackson etc blah blah blah need i say more. All their young "talented" outfielders have scarce mlb service time because of Francona's seeemingly overwhelming desire to cover his royal ass.
  18. I didnt wanna get too excited at the time, but i have been living on Phoenix since 2005. Seeing Perez live on a bunch of occasions, I always thought he had a live arm. (the Rangers train in Surprise, Az.) This guy can get people out if he has a game plan. The last couple years were duds but lets see what he can do when he's healthy and following the program.
  19. im not sure what the reasoning behind it is except for maybe sparing us having to watch 3-4 pitching changes per inning. The leaders of the teams will adapt to it....or not. The ones that cannot will fail.
  20. th this may sound dumb but what fun it must be for the manager to tinker with all these awesome weapons every day. i am super excited for this!! ....LETS DO THIS!!!
  21. i get it that everyone respects Francona sooo much. But really, what has he done since his last ring? The same people that wanna beat down Gardenhire are praising Francona as a bold and genius manager? Please. He, imo is an ultimate yessss man and brown noser that hasn't won anything since 2004. Anybody that covers their behind that long has to be talented and all but When he gets exposed this year its gonna be wicked hard ugly.
  22. I absolutely agree that not every team in the AL uses their Dh to the best advantage but it always amazes me how in interleague play the NL teams seem to never use it as a weapon when they can. Batting their Dh in the 9 spot so as not to disrupt their precious lineup. Imagine thats why they can't seem to win the World Series lately. You cant win the title if you dont plan on stealing one on the road. IMO.
  23. Ok, I will readily admit I am a DIE HARD Twin Fan but I spend a lotta time being just a baseball fan as well. If I am joe Indian fan I would be mad as H€LL. I guess Perez is the catcher to replace Gomes....the one that couldn't beat Gomes out all these years. I am no Michael Brantley fan and I bet he poisons the Astro's Clubhouse same like he has Cleveland's all this time. But they just let him go and now they hope to replace him with some combination of Leonis Martin, Bradley Zimmer, Greg Allen, Matt Joyce, Jake Bauers(a 1st baseman) and Hanley Ramirez? Good Luck with all that. Francona should have been playing some of those guys instead of running Melky Cabrera, Raj Davis, Austin Jackson, and Brandon Guyer out there so much. They lost Chisenhall, Encarnacion, Andrew Miller, Cody Allen, and Tomlin as well. IMO they are in for a big Big surprise and i cant think of a better team to give it to them than us. While we got Gonzalez they were LOSING Lindor for the first month of the season. Ima enjoy watching them fall while Francona smiles for the cameras. I would put their starting pitching on a high plateau but after that they in trouble. They better pitch complete games like the 81 Oakland A's.
  24. I was soo mad last year when we gave up Escobar. Lance Lynn we maybe should have kept. But now I am DOWN. This team will contend. I am super excited with this group. GO TWINS!!
  25. well come on now...Zack is prolly gonna be a major leaguer somewhere. But here? Look around! As critical as we are,..NOBODY has a better defensive outfield than we do. Believe Dat!!
