    This was my concern with re-signing him early. I probably would not make a good GM, but signing players to new contracts mid-season takes some of the player’s urgency out of it since they’ve made their bank. it also opens things up to potentially missing out on a guy because they waited too long, the player significantly increased their market value, and now my team can’t afford him

    Its not like our batting order makes sense, ever. The only two that are probably in the right spot (IMHO) are Correa and Buxton, and that shouldn't last long if they keep underperforming the way they are currently.

    I'm less worried about that right now, and more concerned that the Mendoza line may be superseded by the Kepler line.

    He's looking at the ball the whole time and didn't realize he was heading towards a collision. Literally NOT heads-up baseball. With his injury history he has to be going the opposite direction of the infielder.

    For a guy with the injury history that Buck has, and for the kid gloves the organization has treated him with the last couple years, that was incredibly care-free base running.

    So what you are saying is get ready for a bitter game because the ONLY Twin to score this year is going to be riding pine. Right now this team's offense IS Buxton. If he sits then we aren't winning.

    Not happy with the offense. I know it’s very early, and a lot of starters never got what most would consider a traditional set of spring training reps and they are still finding rhythm. But if we’re only going to average 2 runs a game against the Royals then is going to be a very long and anemic summer. also - why can’t we have a go-to guy to close the 9th? Why does it have to be this round robin approach or based on prior day pitch count, the lineups that day, barometric pressure, the phase of the moon, etc? Why can’t we just have a “give me the damn ball” nasty as nails lock-down guy for the 9th that KNOWS he’s the guy for the 9th?
