  1. Fabulous to see young people put down their phone long enough to make an impact on someone's life. Well done Mr Adams!
  2. They still could use it on Lorenzen. After ST, I am really worried about our starters. Maybe they were working on pitches and angles, but Ryan was the only steady SP
  3. This could be a great opportunity to add a quality arm for 2 years if that is the case. 2 years at say $7m per would be a bargain
  4. Pitch clock yes, shift a big heck no. Hit them where they ain't is baseball, not whiney pull happy strikeout machines at the plate
  5. This article had to be written by a politician, as it was written with a slant to support a view. Dbacks were a rebuilding team that had stripped their payroll down and no one expected them to compete last year. Of course their payroll was going up this year! Comparing owners and franchises is a dicey road as no 2 are equal
  6. Festa needs to master the minors first. He has had stretches, but so has SWR. If Festa can reduce the walk rate and become an anchor in St Paul, then I'll view him as a legit rotation option
  7. +1 to this ^^ No mention of where they rank, no mention of other teams screwed by Diamond, no mention of what streaming revenue could be. Twins Daily is better than Fat Pat style of writing! #amateurhour
  8. And I'm sure the Twins would accept a $30 million donation from Cody to sign Snell.
  9. He is 18, if he can't handle an Iowa spring, then we are truly breaking out the kid gloves! With this argument we should never send any pitchers to Iowa until it is above 65.
  10. In the end it is the client's choice and his client has had 2 huge injuries. No guarantees in life, except a MLB contract. I just know the number is going to keep climbing if he stays healthy. Even just buying out 1 or 2 FA years gives the team some cost certainty.
  11. This is one prospect that I hope the Twins do challenge and be aggressive with his promotions. He has proven he can mash the FSL league, why start him there? No reason he isn't at AA in August if he produces.
  12. I'm not a strong believer in his bat skills long term. Hope I'm wrong, but there is just too much miss in his swing and his swing has too much effort.
  13. Jeffers isn't a punk that stands their and admires a HR. If I'm on the mound, better duck if you do that childish stuff
  14. Agreed, but we are locked into Bux. We can dump Larnach or Kirilloff without cost
  15. Hope he doesn't do the bat flip and sit and watch his HRs in the pros. If so, he will be dodging plenty of inside heaters
  16. At some point availability has to trump potential and that goes for Larnach and Kirilloff. IMO the 1B spot is wide open and ready for someone to step up. Is that Kirilloff, Miranda, Larnach or some FA.
  17. I woke up with this opinion. Didn't like it last night, but availability is huge. Polanco might finally be healthy, but the Twins have to gamble. Wish we had snagged an upside SP, but a 7th/8th inning RP and a potential #5 SP helps us more than a 2B. Is Castro back to backup at CF and 2B?
  18. This FO has been adverse to that type of signing. I wish they had locked up Royce for 6+ years thus off season. Don't see the moves being correlated at all
  19. Watch out, the BA haters will come after you. I agree with you, at some point he needs to make more contact and get more balls in play
  20. I'm going with option 3, don't trade either. Polanco will most likely be better at DH than 2B or 3B going forward, he would be the one I would move as part of a deal for a proven arm.
  21. Big Polanco fan, so I'm for keeping him as long as we can. If we are failing to compete come mid July, he will bring a handsome package
  22. And too bad we didn't go pitching the following year and get Bobby Miller. How different this team would look with Miller and Carrol holding down 2 spots. Don't know how the Dodgers do it, but they sure seem to hit on a high % of late first round picks
  23. Could Canterino be our Varland of 2024? Give us some juice and nasty out of the pen?
