  1. Agree as well, Wallner IMO is a change of scenery guy. With Buxton, Larnach and Bell needing DH spots there's just no room for Wallner. Trade 1-2 of those 3 then ok bring him up. Martin is definitely struggling. Sometimes you got to let them (Martin) work through it. To soon IMO to look for a change there.
  2. I don't see any promotion issues here at all. Jenkins needs a lot more time in AAA before he needs a promotion. To that, it may be best to keep him off the 40-man roster until there is an actual 2027 season. Most of us went through the Joey Gallo seasons. Wallner is him without the defense or 1b option. No need for a promotion there. Roden's numbers are great, but he needs (idk) 20-30 more games at AAA before we get to concerned about how to fit him on the 26-man roster. 2nd or 3rd week of July and still crushing AAA ok...Something or someone has to go. Within a week or two of the trade deadline. Hmm...
  3. Man, I'm hoping that terrible 146 WRC+ forces him to land at #3. If that's his down season sign me up. Emerson may end up better over time and Lackey may be having Roch's 2025 season this year. I like his track record over the other two.
  4. So, it my waistline when it comes to wrong direction.... Trips around the sun take their toll..
  5. Mike Paredes wasn't even on the who? radar. Let's give the guy some credit. Outside of K/9 he's been solid to pretty dang good. He is preforming better than some those we've been talking about for a while. Props to Mike! The Offence looks (wasn't able to watch the game) like it took off against the Dbacks better BP guys. 5 walks and 4 K's for the game...Who's hiding Nick Punto? Nice win. Go Twins
  6. True, But it's not like there's much on the books for his age 35–36 seasons. If you're selling the future, you need a jersey # that'll be there when that day may come. I agree completely unnecessary. So is the extended warrantee they sell with a used car, but many still buy it...
  7. Stumbled across that Gomez was # 25 on MLB's Yankees prospect list for 2025. I would think they'd want to hold onto him. 3+ years of control and no one else really standing out that will be here next season. But like others have said, he could turn back into a pumpkin. If he is traded, we won't have to wonder if they are buying of selling.
  8. Wanted to add. (This is to you Mr. Pohlad and the go big or go home talk) Because of the talk of trading Buxton. This is just my 2 cents. I would EXTEND Buxton. Redo his current contract and add 2 more years. After this season change the base from 15 mil to 25 mil give him the same escalators and no trade through the end of the contract. So, 100 mil for 4 years starting in the 2027 season. He can start it as the starting CF and end it as a corner OF or as a DH. Buries the trade talk and maybe send a little message. My vote would be for his statue at Target field of him diving for a catch.
  9. Waiting for the next waiver wire pick up to replace Lawerence...Lewis 4K's today...Knock it off Royce you're ruining my happy vibe.
  10. Buck, Clemens, Gomez and Lewis are from only if he wants it, too highly unlikely. The rest aren't going to bring any top 100-150 prospects. The elephant in the room is to or not to trade Joe Ryan. I think the package will need to be substantial. Something in the range of a top 25 prospect and another top 100 plus 1 or 2 of a team's top 30. I don't see many teams taking that kind of hit to their prospects. If I had to guess who might, it would be the Dodgers. Trade, extend for 350 mil and march on to another title. Otherwise, I think the price will be too high.
  11. Enjoyed the article! It's something to be excited about. BUT, it feels like it's the top of 7th inning and you just called out the fact that the home teams' pitcher has a no hitter to this point. One of those DON'T jinx it times...
  12. That feels like a trade deadline move. Avoid the super 2 stuff. May as well bring Ross up as well. Kreidler has options, doesn't he?
  13. Jeez Bean. That cloud that follows you is going to cover us all you keep that up. Let's click our ruby slipper together and say there's no place like home a few times (Wizard of Oz Ref) and see if that brightens this up for you.
  14. There's this Verlander guy that may not take kindly to that. Have her bring a friend and I'll watch your back for you. Just trying to help..
  15. Did you copy and paste this one from a Louis Varland post a season or two ago? They're stats are very very similar for the 1st 3 seasons. I think Zebby has a much higher chance of sticking in the rotation then Varland did.
  16. The flaws were bound to show. No fan who paying even a little attention to the team should be shocked. This has been coming since the 2025 sell off. Maybe sooner. There's lots of work to be done. I want to give Zoll some credit. He managed to move Correas's contract and get some prospects, from other trades, we're talking/thinking about this season. That is no small task... Tom and the rest of the Pohlad's have to TRY and sell hope after taking 500ish Mil from investors. Now that reality seems to be rearing its head. Zoll and Tom P. need to get on the same page. Clear out some 26-man spots and let the kids play. Find out if Buck wants to go for a championship or a statue at Target field. I'd cut Bell. Sorry I don't think waiting till the trade deadline will get the Twins anything. I'd DFA 2 of the 4 utility players (read the utility post as well, earlier today) on the 26-man roster. Keeping Clemens and Arcia. Maybe one makes it to the Saints for depth. Then start the adds from the Saints. 3 open 26-man spots so Ross, Sabato and one of Wallner/Hendez. WAIT no K. Culpepper you say? After the trade deadline and Arcia get traded. It's Friday and I'm a beer or two, maybe more...into it... so trash my thought's. I'll read them after a pot of coffee tomorrow...
  17. The Twins should worry about what his plans are for his 21st birthday and that's about it....(get him an Uber there and back) To get to the point of the article. It's way too premature to go there. Outside of a long recovery injury he'll likely be in AA next season way ahead of most college pitchers per age and XP in Mlib... Nothing to see here.
  18. Has he earned another shot? Not yet. We'd have to move a DH (realistically) and the Twins don't have Nelson Cruz at DH...Roden may even be ahead of him as a call up and he just started his rehab assignment. Like a few others said. He just might need to be the Padres RF'r the twins just don't have the players to have any more turning a single into a double on D 35% K rate guys.
  19. Eventually if you keep forcing that square peg into a round hole. It will fit...
  20. The waiver wire BP is going to cost this team games. This is the most recent of a few now. The lack of investment is going to show up from time to time. At least we have a DH who doesn't hit and a catcher who'll be here next season and doesn't hit....
  21. Honestly, this forgone conclusion that the Twins should trade Joe is kind of silly. The AL is SO bad this year that 5 games under .500 and your still in it for a wild card. Now throw in the central being even worse than expected. At this point of the season with WHAT 50% of the BP waiver wire pick-ups and 3 of tonight's starting 9 from the same place. Just ride it out. A little buy and a little sell. Fill in with AAA guys and ride it out. Save that big trade for the winter meetings.
  22. I might be a good fit for this role as well! I'm too old. too slow and too fat...But I do watch movies and they say I can do it. I'll pick up my jersey tomorrow afternoon after this hang over wears off and I get the lawn mowed. Maybe after just the hangover part. We'll see. Text me before you drop it off in case I am napping. Thx go Twins!
  23. I see a lot of DeShawn Keirsey in this argument. Could also be another Mickey Gasper. But after August 3rd if he's still tearing it up bring him up with a long runway to succeed or fail. E Rod and Jenkins will probably be hurt again by then...
