    Nice! He's put the time in and earned it. A lot of work to be done by the FO this offseason to make the roster work. You never know, could be the beginning or the end for him. Congratz!

    I wouldn't mind having him on the team next season, but I looks like an awful crowded (position player side) roster atm and the DH spot is going to be needed for Keaschall, Buxton and likely another outfielder.

    I was going to post something similar. I see Diaw as more an outfielder than a catcher. Tinney and his (IMO) top of the scale power oozes 1B. Tait needs to rebuild his prospect pedigree a bit. I believe he will in 2027. Jimenez's A+ number are on par with Tait's but injury cut his season short. I'm rooting for him being the best part of the Paddack trades. Of course, Lackey. I'm hoping he follows in Houston's footsteps and makes it to AA on his performance next season. So, I see two catchers, an outfielder, a 1st baseman and a wildcard who catches. We need to gather pitchers like we have LH OF's and C's lately. Ryan: sorry we waited so long. Pablo: we want to give to a chance at pitching deep into the playoffs. Ober/Kremer: Come on man...he'll give you 120-150 innings. That's worth that AA BP guy and A ball guy I want. Martin/Larnach/Lewis: Ok OK 2 boxes of girl scout cookies?

    I find it hard to justify blaming any one person or thing for this seasons pitching struggles. There are just too many factors involved. Injuries, high expectations for rookies, a black hole for a BP, terrible defense most of the season, losing Jeffer for a portion of the season has an effect on pitching performance, there's probably a few more that could be listed. That's just what I can think of beyond Makis control.

    It was 180-degree change of direction from 2025 deadline to late 2026 offseason. Falvey quit/fired Jan 30th. Pitchers and catchers reported Feb 10th. If that doesn't say a change in direction what does? I believe you have been for the let the young guys play. I don't disagree. But also, think if Falvey was still running the show and Tom was a hands-off CEO. That would have happened with Ryan, Lopez, Jeffers Larnach, Martin and maybe even Buxton likely traded when they had real value. Now it way way too late. We have a roster loaded with outfield prospects and no way to play them all. No easy way to fix that but part with some less valuable (now) players. 2026 deadline is (IMO) based on Tom's we can be completive mantra...

    Well going from a fire sale to an owner that wants to win now and likely build on this year says to me Zoll will HAVE to act differently. Which likely played a part in Falvey leaving. I don't see any big FO changes coming anytime soon, so he is what you got to work with. I get your frustration; There's a good team here. It's going to take a few trades, some investment from the Pohlad's and a bit of luck. All 29 teams that didn't win the WS in November will be hoping for the same thing. It's unlikely all three will happen.

    I expect 1-3 of Ober, Kremer and Ryan to be traded this off season. Getting something simular to what they gave up for Kremer of maybe a little better prospect for Ober. Ryan, you'd have to get something better than a comp pick in value. Lopez likely won't be on an MLB mound till May/June. Abel and Festa would have to stay healthy and pitch better then Zebby for a move to the BP. Let's face it, Festa may be to the point of having to go there to TRY and stay healthy. Prielipp you could make the same augment for him going to the BP I see 5 starters April 1st with Lopez rehabbing in AAA, Abel in AAA and Festa Rehabbing in AAA. June/July ok maybe Zebby to the BP if someone outpitches him.

    I find the fact that E Rod hasn't been called up mind boggling. All I can come up with is steady AB's in AAA is seen as better than as few in MLB? I'm guessing he'll get called up after AAA season is done. I can't see the Twins trading him at this point when there are far more preferable guys to move. As for 2027 season Zolls going to have to get busy moving parttime players and DH's to make the outfield roster work with no options for E Rod, An outfield mix of Buxton, Jenkins, E Rod, Keaschall, Martin and Clemens seems doable with the DH spot open and Clemens playing mostly 2B. It's going to be a nightmare if E Rod struggles, but the upside is so high it's worth the shot...

    This is kinda my point about my original comment about Rodriguez. 🤷‍♂️...But there's room for GG, Ross, Kreidler and Jackson...

    🤷‍♂️ was meant as IDK. That he isn't up now with Buxton and Martin on the IL make me wonder what the plan is or if there even is one. It's a head scratcher to me.

    Pretty hard to say who should make the 2027 team outside of Keaschall and Culpepper. This hanging out on the very very edge of the wildcard chase is taking away a lot of AB's from GG (8 AB ), Ross(4 AB) and why isn't Emma (0 AB) up?? He has a unique approach that is hard to know if it can work in MLB. Especially without facing MLB pitchers... My guess Jenkins will make the team out of spring training. Emma 🤷‍♂️=IDK, GG starts the year in AAA.

    I'm not as down on the guys you mentioned not being traded or called up as you are. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe not. It's baseball and requires a little more fairy dust then the NFL or NBA. I have to base this off of comp picks being in the next CBA. Lopez and Ryan are 95% (no new injuries) chance of getting a QO. That's two low to mid 30's picks in 2028. So, two Riley Quick plus the actual 2028 1st rounder. Jeffers is theoretically worthy of a QO. 3/45 is a reasonable extension. Worst case with no QO you are correct lost for nadda damn thing. Emma. Just this season the team carried Outman, Fedko and now Ross as kinda dead spots on the roster. I would think carrying Emma would be no more difficult and that's if he can't hit MLB pitching. I definitely think Emma should be on the active roster. Many options for who to move to make room. It's not like there's a real chance at a wildcard anymore.

    The new international scouting department seems to be bearing fruit with hitters (Jan 2024 Roman Barinas and Kevin Goldsrein) 3 mentioned and probably one more if not for being traded for Kremer. Lane is interesting, may be a hidden gem. Kendle, He just keeps mashing. Would be great to have a legit RH outfield prospect.

    Whether the innings he throws in what is left of the season are his last or just a start to a new chapter. Wishing him the best. Perseverance.

    The elite prospects ship has sailed August 1st this season. That was only for Ryan and maybe Buxton. I wouldn't and don't expect anything much for either. It's more about development of what we have. Similar to trading Larnach (August 1st) would have made room for Jenkins or Emma. There are aways teams looking for a 5th starter. Just don't plan on seeing the prospect(s) in MLB for a while if ever.

    I like the Kremer trade. For this season it was a necessary addition at a minimal cost. Next season I'm not sure how it will shake out. Kremer seems like a likely off-season trade to me, along with Ober. I'm going to guess Tom will be in the same "we're going to compete for a playoff spot" mode. After 2027 all of Pablo, Ryan, Ober and Kremer will all be free agents. To me that says the #4 and #5 spots in the rotation need to be filled with two of Prielipp, Matthews, Abel and Rojas to have a reasonable transition from 2027 to 2028. Plus, there's more upside there. If the 2027 season goes bad Pablo and Ryan traded at the deadline. Maybe Tom goes big and extends Pablo or Ryan. That seems unlikely though.

    It's an interesting line up. Definitely would want an upgrade or two. Brandon Lowe is a good defensive 2b and plenty of power. I know he's another injury worry but him in the 4 hole would be pretty potent. A two-year deal? Then Clemens would be on the bench or able to cover for Emma if he struggles and injuries. Plus, it buys time for Houston/Culpepper/Lee=SS/3B/2B Gotta find a defensive home for Keaschall...Him at DH feels like a missed opportunity to upgrade the roster. No, I don't have any idea where his D is best hidden. Resign Jeffers. QO or 3 years $15-$20 mil per. I mean, we paid Vazquez 10 mil per. Jeffers is at least 50% better. Royce..what to do...what to do. No idea. Keep? I guess it would depend on any trade offers. Can Keaschall play an average 1B? I'd copy the line up posted, but switch Lowe for Clemens and Jeffers for Caratini. If I'm free to spend even more $ I'd try and get Suzuki for DH/RF and Abreu for the BP. It's not my money so more upgrades. 😀

    A historically terrible AL plays a large part in this comparison. In fact, it makes it apples to oranges IMO. Let's count our blessings, a CEO that says we're going to be completive or one who says we need to right size payroll? A GM that says your right Shelty, Lee isn't a SS, Royce you're not our 3b anymore, Wallner got strike out in AAA? Now low and behold we've promoted two guys in August. Sure, they should have traded Jeffers and Larnach at a minimum at the deadline. But really how many more LH outfielders do we need? 😜
