  1. On a minor league deal? Heck yeah that's a good signing. We're one injury away from it being a big deal. Until Ryan comes back. Could buy some time for that if needed.
  2. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the meal and stop looking at the ingredients.
  3. The guy isn't even sure where his locker is for a home game yet. Let's give it a few more weeks before we yell Yahtzee! I like what has happened so far, the opponents play a large part in that. The old adage. Small sample size.
  4. dang...just breath...Come on series win. then face the Phading Phillies. Looking forward to seeing Duran....stay in the BP the whole series
  5. Take him deep Royce my fantasy team need the points!
  6. Got to take advantage of the moment... Get the Roden dude out a here! All he does is clog up the bases. Dang 3/3 with a walk. Not one homer...Time for him to go.
  7. I'm not a big fan of Keaschall at 2nd base. I'd also prefer Clemens in a utility role as well. I'm wondering if Buxton as a 50/50 DH may save on the hip issue that's popped up the last few seasons. A few spots for upgrades and trades to make it a little better 26-man roster. As for the article. I'd say the Twins need to bite the bullet and send Jackson down. I hope he clears but there will be other catchers available during the offseason if he doesn't. Maybe even him...Then give Emma his spot on the active roster and Jenkins Sept 1st when the rosters expand.
  8. Hopefully this hot streak lasts until the end of October. 😉
  9. The BP improvement over the course of season has been remarkable. Kudos to LaTroy and the rest of the coaches and players. It's probably too soon but...Maki seems to be working his magic with Kremer as well. I really like what the FO did in the BP at the trade deadline. I hated to see Hill moved but Hoffman can step in as our closer if Gomez falters. That has some uncounted value. Someone mentioned how so many of the guys we had at one point or another doing well elsewhere. Duran, Jax, Varland, even Sands and Steward, when they were healthy, played a part in that. I believe they were all waiver wire pick up that we tried to get through waives as well, with no luck. One last thing. There isn't a lot to do this offseason for holes to fill. Plus, not much to protect from the rule 5 draft. Could be a fun offseason if Tom and the FO decide to upgrade the team. Something like trade player A for some AA or AAA player(s) and bring in a free agent that will be an upgrade to the team. random example..trade Ober for X player/players and bring in Gausman or Mize. Keep in mind Ryan, Lopez, Ober and Kremer will all be free agents after 2027 season.
  10. I noticed that as well. Maybe trade say Larnach, Ober or Martin in the offseason to make room for upgrades? Adding Gausman to the starting rotation or Morejon to the BP or Taylor Ward to the OF mix. Could be an interesting offseason. Not chance they could possibly know more than me and Lazy Boy! I mean...I do their job for free all season and offseason. I'm just that good at it. 😜
  11. He's gotten 48 AB's this season. A real test run would be 200 AB's before moving on. I get it, other guys are more exciting, higher upside.
  12. I get the Jenkins call up screams. But Emma is much more likely of the two to be the 1st called up. He's out of options next season. The team needs to find out if he's an MLB player like a season or more ago...Roden needs more AB's before you can reasonably move on. He's hitting .273/.400OBP/.364 slug in the last seven games. Patience is an extremely valuable asset when it comes to baseball.
  13. I see a lot of Andrew Morris in the Twins version of Gallagher. The watermelon scene is forcing me to include "the Twins version" Jones and Mitrovich are interesting 2025 draft picks. So far so good. Jenkins or Emma should be the next one up for the Twins. Fedko's 60-day IL will open that spot if Jenkins.
  14. Walker Jenkins Should he have been called up by now? Probably I'm leaning to the if we're 4+ game out of the WC/Division, it's time. If one of the outfielder's goes on the IL, it time.Vahn Lackey It's all there. Going to wait till he gets some time off from baseball and an off season before I get too excited about his potential. Hopefully he follows Culpepper and Houston's lead and gets to AA next season.Kaelen Culpepper May be the last time he gets ranked. Gray out Culpepper in. Even with his struggles since coming back from injury.Marek Houston You could make a case for him at #3. But I think he's a half season behind Culpepper. So, Culpepper gets that spot.Riley Quick A little more control/command and he can be a really good #1 or #2.Hendry Mendez He just hit's. Between him and Jenkins I can see a lot of 30 pitch innings in the future for the TwinsEmmanuel Rodriguez I struggle keeping him in the top 10 with so few games played over his career. Top 3 talent, bottom 3 availability.Eduardo Tait Tinney and Tait are very similar profiles. Tait is 2 years younger and swings from the left side. Which is not as common from a catcher. He gets the nod.Carson Tinney Please hit tool get much better and this pick will be a steal.Gabriel Gonzalez Tough season...2 good month. and 2 not good months.Brandon Winokur Hit tool seems to be much improved since going to AA. Might be turning the corner. Top 5 in raw talent.Khadim Diaw Top ten if he can stay on the field.Ryan Gallagher The next Andrew Morris?Yasser Mercedes Crusher A ball. Had a really slow start in A+ ball, but 865 OPS in July. His power is starting to take off.Charlee Soto 15.2 innings the last two seasons. #15 purely on upside.Ethan Wachsmann Lots of upside but likely won't pitch until 2027. So lower 1/2 of my top 20Brett Renfrow Mostly on draft position. Looks like a #4-#5 starter, but a lot of reliever risk.Yovanny Duran Had a great FCL season. 42 BB, 46 SO, .458 OBP and swiped 36 bags. Just joined A ballJames Ellwanger If he didn't get hurt and was still pitching anywhere near where he was. Up 5 to 10 spotsLuis Fragoza The stat line has a lot to like. 30% K rate not so much. Thew my comments into each player I selected. Going be a vastly different list by this time next season.
  15. They had their chances. To many missed runners in scoring position
  16. Just stick the bat out there and lets Miz's velo drive it over the fence ;p
  17. The Varland lovers are going to be at your door shortly! I don't disagree, but I believe Tom Pohlad isn't willing to go there. Falvey out Zoll in... I would have liked to seen Gausman as a Twin. I'd also like my lottery ticket to be a big winner. Not doing well on either...Such is life.
  18. I guess I'm going to go against the crowd here. I don't think they're going to trade or should trade Ryan this off season. Nor do I think the Skubal trade makes a big difference in what Ryan may or not bring back in a trade. Yes, they definitely missed out on some high-end prospects by not trading him. Same for Jeffers or even Larnach. My reasoning why is: Neither the players nor the owners are going to want to give up much of their 2027 monies...A late start sure, half a season...5% chance. There will be changes, not a complete wrecking ball to what the last CBA is/was. By May of 2027 a starting staff of Ryan, Pablo, Bradley, Prielipp and Kremer is a powerful augment to keep the band together. Abel, Matthews, Rojas, Festa(hopefully) and Parades all waiting for their shot. The entire bull pen could be back minus Minter and Rogers. If they keep Banda that's 1 BP spot to fill. The entire offense will be back minus Jeffers and Bell. Jenkins, Emma, possibly Mendez and GG (he's been playing 1B lately) should be on the 26 man or taking and Uber back and forth from St Paul all season. With no REAL money spent to this point. That's 3 26-man roster spots to fill with two prospects who may get them before the end of this season and Tom saying they expects payroll to increase for 2027. That could just be arbitration raises...or on free agents. Now throw in that the QO is part of the new CBA. (50/50 chance of that) After 2027 season you QO Lopez and Ryan. That would be 5 picks in the top 75 in the 2028 draft? One last thing. We're in the AL central not the East or NL.
  19. I find Toronto to be one of those teams that prospect rankings tend to swing and miss on a lot. They seem to push players up a level a month or so before the trade deadline whether they earned it or not. Which skews trades in their favor. I mean go look at their prospects from idk..2021 on. Not many big-league regulars there. I don't mind the Hoffman trade as a win or lose. Hill could hurt 3-4 seasons from now. The FO is trying to squeeze 2-3 more wins out of the team. This trade should get them closer to that. Plus, if they tried to sign a similar arm for 2027, I would think 7-9 mil would probably not cut it. UGH. The Varland trade again...I don't believe the FO (or any Twins fan for that matter) thought the AL would be SO bad that they'd have a chance at a wild card for a season or two. I'll take a high velo Leftie in the BP and a 4th OFer at worst. For Varland The Berrios trade I look back at and think if I include where the payroll went by trading him it's a clear win for the Twins. If I don't include that it's a small to medium loss.
  20. Not that I disagree with you. That's one heck of a lucky streak. I'm going to have to ask him for some lottery numbers. A little earlier this week there was an article about if we should pick up any of the resent players that got cut. I was for Refsnyder for the exact reason Sabato kinda sorta could make sense.
  21. Thanks Brock, I enjoy this every season.
  22. Hey Brock Could you add. Luis Fragoza to the available prospects for the top 20

  23. Nice beginning for Kremer and the Twins. I hope it stays that way.
