  1. Hey! Is the strait of Hormuz open this afternoon? Asking for a friend who needs to get gas...Soon...
  2. Oh god no. He's a depth piece. #4 on a really good day, #6 on a normal day. Who's that guy now? Next year? I'm happy to part with Reyes for the next two seasons of knowing who the next man may be up. Plus I like Duran a lot more. ;P
  3. There's not a lot of potential starters in A+ or AA let alone AAA that haven't already been added. Next year hopefully Abel and maybe by May/June Pablo is back but after that who? Kremer helps fill that gap.
  4. But what IF green is my favorite color? Is it still ok?
  5. Take a look at Yovanny Durans numbers. Same league this year and younger. Just got moved to A ball after the trade deadline. He might be the better prospect of the two.
  6. I think it's highly unlikely that there is a salary cap. A salary floor, I can see with a big TV network. Spreading the wealth. It'll cost us fans much more to have but be unlimited. That'll likely cost the union at least an international draft. Maybe, but IMO unlikely, the owners will give up qualifying offers for a type of contact structure the gives the teams a free agent comes from an edge in years or dollars attached to the salary floor. Something like the NBA uses. Maybe even harsher penalties for the over tax moneys. To set the table for an actual salary cap If in the unlikely hood some of that happens, I think the Twins did well at the trade deadline.
  7. It's hard for me to give a grade on the deadline moves without knowing if or how much of a 2027 season there will be... With all or let's say 100+ games in 2027..B maybe B- With no or less the 1/2 the games in 2027..C to D+ These includes what they may have gotten for Jeffers and Larnach. Getting Money and another year of control with Kremer and Hoffman is big to me. The Twin's window hasn't even opened yet. Next season if might.
  8. 1st lets clear up the 3 catchers thing. Now or never on trying to get Jackson to St Paul. I'd pass on Soler and Garver. Refsnyder I'd be interested in. Does he have options? If so, yeah, no doubt. If not, not so certain GG wouldn't be a better choice.
  9. All of them in February, March or April were big, "I hope they aren't terrible" to one degree or another. Been quite the year for big league improvements. Let's keep it rollin.
  10. Hmm. Alot can go right or wrong here. Hoffman to this BP is a good get. A bit of an overpay but such is a deadline trade. The early trades ended up being the better trades value wise. The BP should be 4 deep on a normal day. To go from hopefully two deep to four isn't happening with your 18th round pick last year. Loosing Hill will hurt, no getting around it, IF the Twins make the playoffs, that's the price the Twins had to pay...To be 0-0 in October has some value as well.
  11. Anyway, not an earth-shattering deadline. truth be told GOOD. This team needs a year likely two to start throwing good or better prospects at MAYBE facing the Dodgers. Could have used another starter. With Matthews/Rojas/Prielipp as the 5th starter. things may be fine. Hoffman and Minter are good gets. Another two+ months of hope/complaining/ if we would haves. Been a fun year looking back at the last few.
  12. Don't care for the cost but they're far worse trades today. basically, look at any Red Sox trade. Still could use a starter looking Singer.... I guess.
  13. It's a fair point. Gomez did have him down 1-2 throwing straight heat. Maybe a cutter or sweeper would have been a better pitch rather than a 4th fastball in a row. Going after a rookie with a .200 BA .600 OPS or the next guy seems like a wash to me. Such is baseball.
  14. Morris to Jax comparison sure fits. Gomez has been great, but comparing to Duran is a stretch. Let's give it another season.
  15. Squints at title...Opens beer...Umm. Somebody trolling us? RIGHT?? Boy, I don't see the need, but I'll play along. Tait, E Rod and 1-2 20-30 rank players. OK I can live with that. Trading from depth. Houston and Culpepper I would not part with either. Jenkins and Lackey are not available IMO. Lee (3B) Neto (SS) Culpepper (2nd) could be a really good infield. Plus, Houston taking over SS mid 2027? One of Culpepper/Neto in CF with Buck as fulltime DH. That could make for a core of strong offence and defense. Jenkins, GG, Roden, Keaschall, Martin and Mendez filling out the OF roster.
  16. I was just pointing him out. Plus, he's already on the 40-man. Yes, yes strikes out too much. Hits the ball way to hard and far, way too picky at what to swing at as well. Also play too good of defense. Who needs a Kyle Schwarber type that you can actually play in center while Buxton DH's the rest of the year. What a BUM...
  17. Larnach for Abreu sure seems a bit light to me. Don't get me wrong Abreu would be a big upgrade to the BP. Add a prospect or two coming the Twins way and I like the trade a lot more. Say...Bryce Mayer.
  18. I'm not sure this is just click bait or not...It's close to dinner time so I'll bite...Buxton being hurt isn't a game changer. It's more of a cost of doing business type of thing. He'll be back just not tomorrow. It's more about getting as much as you can from the replacement. I know way too many are saying JENKINS, JENKINS! NO. not Jenkins Emma. he's already on the 40 man. Doing rehab to get back to the Saints and fits the 2026 Twins OF and offensive approach. IE plays good defense, walks a lot and hit homers. He'll likely be a .225 hitter with an .800 ops but that still works.
  19. I want that to be true as well. Imagine...Pablo, Ryan, Bradley, Prielipp and then Abel, Matthews, Kremer. Plus Rojas, Parades and maybe even Quick waiting in 2027. Not a bad fantasy when it comes to baseball.
  20. Glad to hear that. Was worried it was using my porn hub clicks...
