  1. And probably keep us from the playoffs
  2. I don't think he was "totally safe" but I also don't think there was enough evidence there for them to overturn the initial call. That should've been a prime example of the call "standing" rather than being confirmed or overturned
  3. Uhhhh... Sorry what? What disrespect?
  4. Still think he gets in but now he's one of those asterisk guys
  5. That curve is what a major league hitter's nightmares are made of. Need a pressure washer to clean off because that thing is FILTHY
  6. I would assume injury although I haven't hear that he's having problems
  7. You mean like what Cobb got from Baltimore? That deal makes Lynn's look not that bad. I'd rather Lynn be pitching well obviously but at least we're not on the hook for another 3 years and $45mil
  8. Brian fighting off some tough pitches
  9. I suppose I'll accept a RBI single in lieu of a double
  10. Time for one of Joe's patented 2 strike double into the gap
  11. Typical. Guy batting .146 gets a two out, two run single
  12. They may want to see if Wilson can catch him better assuming they're keeping bobby around for awhile. Maybe Lynn needs more of a veteran backstop
  13. Maybe Morrison is the type who needs more reps on the field to be better locked in at the plate? Where Joe could literally sit for an entire season and come back swinging an above 300 bat. As long as we win, I won't quibble overly with the lineups. Obviously if we lose I maintain the right to complain about it retroactively
  14. If Romero keeps pitching the way he has been then I think his rotation spot is a safe as it can be. You're not replacing a guy who's putting basically zeros up on the board every time he takes the mound
  15. If they're going to go after someone it had better be someone who's better than Garver. If you're going to go through the effort to make a move, it had better be Realmuto as the catcher of the future. Otherwise we're just getting a platoon guy to give Garver days off. And that in my opinion is a waste.
  16. Anybody else excited that it’s Garver who’s come through with the big hits the last two nights?
  17. if only that would've been pujols. Joe could've walked over, brian handed him the ball, and joe walked back for the double play
  18. If I really had a choice, I'd rather we go after MadBum. I'd also be willing to give up more in the way of prospects for him
  19. Remember we dropped the Friday night game to the White Sox last week. Then went on a 5 game win streak. Two of which came against a very good Cards team in their park. The amount of angst I'm feeling over last nights game is nada. Yeah we lost but wasn't like we got dominated. We were in the game throughout, made a comeback but it fell short. Accept it for what it is, a night that the ball just didn't fall our way.
  20. 1. What about him being a professional athlete means he should be "less active"? I imagine that there are many professional athletes who are much more active than he is. Social media is money-making enterprise for athletes now. Hell, Dwayne Johnson is almost a 50-yr old man and he has 2,000 more tweets than Trevor. 2. He did reach out to the accuser on social media. Maybe that's because he knows her and possibly they have a friendly relationship outside of the workplace. I will also point that that other current and former members of the team like Trevor Plouffe also reached out to her on twitter. It's often how some people of my generation communicate.
  21. He can do whatever he wants in his free time. After all, it's HIS free time. While I can think of several things that I'd rather be doing with my time than thinking up things to say on twitter, if that's his bag then more power to him. His social media and video games hobby is in no way harming him or the organization. Don't understand how this is a sticking point.
