    Yes…although, good is a relative term. Many teams are good relative to the Twins right now. Oakland is playing much better than the Twins, as well.

    #1 way to avoid K’s…swing early and often. Usually doesn’t help runs scored, but holds down the K numbers.

    Gotta be an XL conspiracy theorist to come up with manipulating Alcala’s service time. We’re talking about a guy who’s been hurt forever and hasn’t even proved he has value yet. And turns 29 in a couple of months. Weird response from Rocco…but, they’re resting him. Kind of a desperate move…not willing to be a guy short for a couple of games. Then again, when you’re losing frequently, and you’re trying to win while scoring 2 or 3 runs…you do desperate things.

    Probably the best 9-inning showing by the offense in a while. Sadly. 11 hits, 5 XBH, ‘only’ 9 K’s. But still only 4 runs…and never really in the game.

    Probably more about maximizing the number of companies from which you can collect sponsorship money. If we gave them the hot dog gig as well, chances are we can’t afford guys like Santana.

    I don’t expect him to be a great hitter…but I do expect him to do damage on that pitch. He’s been a very good cripple masher in the past. But, it’s been a while now.
