    Many star? very very few true superstars. I think WJ has 'it' but my point with ant was he was surrounded by really good players, and had young running mates. I think Culpepper, Kaeshall are that. This team needs a star

    After the hippie comment yesterday I expected more PP. I cannot say this article sucks as I'm not a judge but I couldn't make it through the first 5 sentences. The guy (ant was in his 3rd yr at this age) can play or he cannot. His looks, stature, muscle development don't matter. Have you ever seen Gagne, Bruno or gaetti up close? Was Hrbek a picture of great health? Just a very strange article., and I hate criticizing this site as I love it. Long hair, short hair or not. But I do support local barbers

    I like Kody. If he is our cleanup hitter next year I'm out. There are 3 other major sports teams in this town (no offense to the Lynx and soccer team) that go for it. Hard. I'm not anti Pohlad and never would be but we need a splash. Something , just anything. Donaldson this, Correa that... at least they tried. If Kody is cleanup from day 1, I'm gone. Trade Jenkins, Culpepper I don't care. Just something. This dance has gone on so far too long...

    Ohh I'm just waiting for @HarmonK03 to weigh in on this.... I'm past his Fedko love. He's past my Roden. We need, I wish, to go big - or try. If not what in the world are we doing. Our minor league prospects can not compete against MLB's best. I will never blame the pohlads because i wouldn't play poker with 13 cards when others have 52. I'd fold until I got super lucky. i hope mlb can fix itself because otherwise being a minor league team to the 3-4 'haves' is maybe a better option.

    Chess not checkers. And we do (twins) have the pieces. I do believe that. baseball does need to fix itself though so all teams have the ability to have kings and queens. Otherwise we're left fighting over Roden, Jackson, Fedko, our ridiculously bad bullpen to begin the year while 3-4 teams have zero of those arguments. Just my opinion but today was a good day

    You are right. Does Tim Connelly have a brother, or time to do both jobs? (Yes Basketball is easier due to equal salary caps and he has strong ownership) but there... there is a vision in action.

    In the oddest of ways, and I'm being vulnerable here, Bell has really worn on me in a positive way. I hate even watching him swing but he's a pro. Not quite man-crush level but I'd consider running him back despite having zero timeline with the new corp. Some vets are needed. Jenkins will be good and I'm glad he has young running mates. Keaschall, no idea where he plays but the kid can rake and is a baller like someone mentioned earlier, I think #23 is odd man out unfortunately. Clemens would be a great utility guy, and I do like his swing, but that's his best role. opinion only

    What realistically happens to Wallner. It's hard not to feel for the guy and his career. Other middling MLB teams, like ours, aren't looking for 28/29 year old projects (other than I guess we did do that with about 6 guys this year), and great teams probably want more sure things. But when you have such an overpowering tool I'd think there's a place. Anyway, good for him for being humbled, kept his mouth shut and produced. Hope it ends well for him

    You and I generally agree except on Fedko vs roden (dumb both ways) but money talks and Buck was at absolute peak value. He would have taken a deal. Living in MN 1/4 of the year? Cmon. That was agent talk for a restructured deal. Healthy, crushing it and we had #11 waiting. i believed sell, you did too. Others believed 'hold Tom Pohlad to his word of going or go home'. Because of their Pohlad obsession. Well, he caved to the masses....

    .....and this nails it. Great post. Many here questioned Pohlad, not the process. Larnach, Jeffers, ryan and Buck should have been traded. I don't care the return. I'll get dislikes and could care less but give Ownership and Zoll credit because the fan base is probably like many on here, gleeman, etc that said Tom, 'you said go big or go home'. They all felt 'going big' meant this year. Wrong answer.....

    Got it. So a leader/managers job is to set a lineup then go watch with a beer in the clubhouse, not mentor and motivate. Makes sense.

    I see your point and it's fair, but the greats can walk and chew gum. But I suppose that is what the minors are for. Zero people planned on him being a starting pitcher at MLB level this year but when 3 or 4 5ths (Pablo, joe, Abel, Ober) go down you need to scramble.

    And he slid towards the base, right? You can just slide wherever you want? Got it. there are times a jolt is needed. Rocco sucked but at least provided that. But you enjoy your bland brand of leadership, I'll enjoy mine.

    This is not on the organization. There are 25 teams competing and rebuilding every year. You get the ball, you pitch the ball. If and when hitters started laying of his tremendous slider, he's got nothing that fools anyone. Not being critical, neither do I. If he wants to succeed he's gonna need a knockout change up

    I do not care aboit the outcome..... Whoever from the WS blew up KC could have hurt him.. That was the moment Shelty, replay or not, could and should have stood - and that's the problem.. not one of you forget. I do not care what you do but you have to know your boss will kill for you. Torii blowing up the WS catcher. Example. As a leader you HAVE to inspire. We are so damn blah. He blew a fabulous chance.

    The runner at 1st clearly would have been safe.... but that is EXACTLY where Shelty needs to lose his absolute ****. It was a BS slide that could have injured KC and that's how you motivate and get guys f'n fired up. Missed oppty in my book. Show some spine for your guys DS Beyond advanced stats and all that there are times ya have to go all in, in the biggest series of the year.. Torii Hunter style. Bad miss
