  1. Oh crap... here goes the 'root for the local guy angle' CP would be awesome in the pen. Just opinion we'll see how it goes. to the original post, yes, the team needs 1 more more consistent starter.
  2. I'm probably wrong but fairly sure Harper hit 1.000? the dude could hit, and made mustache's cool 20yrs after they weren't, and 20 yrs before they were again. A jet setter
  3. Respectfully disagree. You cannot discount "except petty" as easily as the post does. Trading a recent #1 pack takes some stones. The twins spent money, recognized a possible flaw, traded for MLB talent. Petty, steer, CES, Bader, some moves that didn't work (gomez?). when the team had a shot, I think they went for it, with the small town budget they have
  4. Just opinion but it's why baseball sucks, yet awesome. A game built on negativity. I don't have numbers but aren't the Twins near the top in BA with RISP? But as fans we see the outs more often than not. on the broader point, I'm really curious what MW would bring back in a trade. I think he's worth a gamble
  5. I understood the same. But did we need someone to hit 3 grand slams? It was 10-1 or something. It makes for good talk, but it's baseball. Its why we endure the greatness and misery :)
  6. Be a bit fair, which you always are. The Twins scoring hasn't been big issue this year. 162 games is a long time.... each game matters - I get it - but there's a lot to be excited for. And no, I'm not T Pohlad or Falvey :)
  7. I agree. But what parts for what? I'm probably wrong but think 2028+ could be special. I do think we need arms
  8. I would say fortunately, not unfortunately.. the team is mediocre but scrapping. Hate to be negative but Rocco was a bad hire that sucked the life out of, everything. Good guy but it just was not fun baseball now, we're near ,500, with a payroll much less, and have optimism in players almost ready. im excited
  9. It's fun being delusional with the fools, like me, here. Whats more fun is watching those who think they aren't. Well played
  10. I see the unlikes you are getting, and guessing you care less. But I'll be the fool that chimes in. I completely agree with your thinking, but would flip high versus low. 'If' we believe in Culpepper, Houston's value right now is sky high. I don't have a target so it's a weak argument, but Jenkins aside, I believe Marek Houston is our greatest asset. Do I want him traded? No. If u want real value, he's the guy. Just opinion
  11. It's interesting to me. Being a scout may be harder than we think. Zebby is a huge guy, blazing heat, good off speed stuff. Then you have joe ryan or Radke, Greg Maddux, etc whose 'stuff' isn't remotely close. I'm curious what separates the greats......as i know folks on forum usually have all the answers :)
  12. Or as a package deal, include Joe Ryan for Nelson Cruz? I'll admit a funny post, but cheap shots are easy. i would absolutely take this team and prospects versus a year ago. Some work, some don't. oh, and no please on this Mason Miller deal
  13. Haha I see where you're going but you stopped. Love it. :) I do really appreciate your passion for our team!
  14. This back and forth has me smiling. HarmonK is one of my favorite posters. Twins lost one, let's go get the series win!
  15. I admire your Fedko loyalty. Makes me smile. (Not in a derogative way) I don't know that he will be around (the Twins that is) after 2026, but it would be a fabulous story if he makes it, and ur proven right. There is quite the logjam in the Twins OF but possibly theres a better situation elsewhere. its what makes baseball and the minors fun, attaching to a player and hoping it works. Personally im ride or die for Billy Amick. We'll see how that goes :)
  16. I believe minor leagues aren't a part of the union so yes they would, but if someone is on a 40 man roster they couldn't play. I may be wildly wrong though
  17. Haha. You gotta do what ya gotta do 1.)make negative statements about a 'young person' 2.)someone simply questions why 3.)response: "'you question me???? I'm ignoring you'' One could argue that's somewhat child-like (note, I did not say kid-like') but feel free to ignore away! I just happen to like big talent high upside guys. I liked McCarty and Stahoviak, sano and Ryan Mills. BW and Q Young happen to fit those molds. Does my opinion make me right? Heck no. But I'm open to discussing why. If ur not, it doesn't much impact me. Enjoy your day
