  1. The White Sox have a better record than the Twins.
  2. Indeed, Chief, it is Stahoviak.
  3. Between Buxton being an injury in waiting and the other two outfielders being LHB, I struggle to see how Bader gets fewer than 300 PAs even in a strict platoon.
  4. Maybe. Teams also do weird crap for the "honor of Opening Day". Vets get priority and things are slightly different for a single day. The reality is that we probably will never know how much the Twins "planned" to play Bader because with this team, the 45th guy on the depth chart ends up with significant playing time because none of the starters can stay healthy, ever.
  5. The business side of the Twins is absolutely ****ing killing it yet again.* *this situation isn't entirely their fault, MLB had a big hand in this **** show
  6. I mean, maybe? I always suspected Bader would play quite a bit but not to the "everyday player" level. Like 350-400 PA territory. Would he be in the lineup if both/either Lewis and Lee were healthy? Dunno, but I suspect not.
  7. I probably go with Julien? Then Gasper. I'd like to see Keirsey get a shot, and I'm sure he will when an outfielder goes down, but I don't think I'd start Opening Day with him.
  8. Free game of the day just means the game is free to watch. Thankfully, MLB pulled its head out of its monumental ass and began making all spring training games free to watch. That's why you're seeing that message littered around the MLB app in March. On Opening Day, that will revert to one game(ish) a day.
  9. What exactly is "present day value" in baseball contracts? Here's a breakdown, straight from an accountant. Sifting Through the Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Contract Noise - Blue Jays - Jays Centre JAYSCENTRE.COM The baseball media is mischaracterizing the actual value of contracts with deferred money. Let's get it straight.

Books The Big 50: The Men and Moments that Made the Minnesota Twins by Aaron Gleeman Aaron is a phenomenal writer, diligent researcher, and lifelong Twins fan, making him the perfect fit to write this expansive journey through the franchise's history. With stat-centric slant, AG counts down the 50 most important players and milestones since the team moved to Minnesota. 11. By the way, if anyone ever has a good idea for a poll question, please @ me any time. Coming up with good questions can be tough, especially over multiple sites. I'm going to have multiple blind spots just because I'm distracted so much of the time.
  12. An interesting piece from one of our writers on Talk Sox. The Tokyo Series played its first game, kicking off the 2025 MLB season. Let's look at how a shared love of baseball has brought together Japan and the United States. Baseball's Effect on Japan-United States Relations - Red Sox - Talk Sox TALKSOX.COM With the Japan Series beginning tomorrow, a look at how baseball has shaped and deepened the ties between Japan and the US.
