  1. That was my intent, yes. If the Twins win, say, 85 games everybody keeps their job.
  2. I was driving and thinking about this yesterday. What would you rather see: 1. The short-term incompetence to continue at such a level that it results in Baldelli being fired and Falvey being put on the hot seat. 2. A return to expectations, with the Twins playing at or just above .500 and fighting for a Wild Card spot in 2025. I'm curious what people think about this. It's not an attempt to blast the manager or the front office, it's a legitimate question. With ownership in flux and the team playing just WRETCHED baseball for 60+ games, I'm not entirely sure where I land on this question.
  3. The Wolves looked terrible last night. After the first 20 minutes or so, the Lakers didn't look much better. An ugly game all-around and I'm not sure what to take from it. We knew the Wolves wouldn't repeat their shooting from game one, nor are they nearly as bad as they looked in game two.
  4. This is an excellent, in-depth look at the business of baseball and the impact Scott Boras has on the industry. But is his influence waning in some aspects like drafting and his refusal to sign extensions? 5. Oh yeah, the Twins were mostly on a roll from 2019-2023. They were raising payroll and emanating goodwill. And they burned it all down in roughly 14 months. It was quite the bout of mismanagement. They should teach it in business school under "how NOT to run a public-facing business".
  6. This was also the point where whatever goodwill I had left for ownership evaporated.
  7. I had lost track of Stewart so this news was a pleasant surprise!
  8. Surprising, but I will happily accept watching a prospect instead of a retread journeyman.
  9. Yeah, I couldn't see anything to overturn that.
  10. Edouard Julien showing his natural grace and athleticism in that play.
  11. Hey, there can be failures on multiple levels.
  12. It's going to be interesting to see which approach the bullpen takes in ****ing this up for Festa.
  13. Pretty cool to see the Twins getting ahead of schedule and playing the likes of Ty France in the third slot. They usually wait until August to have that kind of lineup.
