Buxton basically the only reason to watch the team tonight, and he didn't disappoint.

Thus begins the uphill struggle...

Regardless of the results, Buxton has to be the most entertaining player we've had since.........????

Not a good night for either of them, but Gibster is looking pretty hittable too. He's about to throw pitch #100 and it's just the 5th inning, although it's admittedly pretty amazing to rack up that pitch count without giving up more than 2 runs.

​I don't usually try to analyze MLB batters' swings because HS is about the highest level I can be useful, but it sure looks like Buxton stands a little too far from the plate.  He can't cover the outer third, and meanwhile he had a massive home run last week on a pitch that was up and way in.  Is anyone else seeing that or am I imagining it?  I'm looking at his back foot, since with the open stance his front foot moves in from the starting point.

I'd stop at another bar or two. If you are lucky - once you make your way down to Target Field, the game will be over and the gates will be locked shut. That is my hope for you. As a Canadian, you have too much self respect to lose. Leave that to us Americans. We have no pride.

Dick reminding us that thanks to roster expansion, the Twins have an 11 man bullpen, and I'm like 'yyyeah, that should eventually get us through the 7th and maybe part of the 8th, but what about the rest?'
