Buxton is awful right now. Everyone in that stadium knew he was going to strike out. He's got further to fall before he hits rock bottom, but it's getting close. Could mean another demotion to AAA in a week or two.

Buxton should still be doing a rehab assignment in AAA. He is completely lost at the plate. I'd also say it's time to give Nick Gordon a shot at SS. It's hard to score when your lineup has 4 guys who are complete non threats at the plate.

I expected that from Buxton. Not a major league plate appearance. Been too many of those.

It sure was. Situational hitting has just not been there all year

No defensive contribution can make up for a .400 OPS.

Good teams produce with a man on 2nd and 3rd and no outs. Not only do they get one run, but typically they're getting at least two.

 

Bad teams are not scoring in that situation.
