LaVelle E Neal III is President of the BBWAA

Though it has been known since this time last year, today the Star-Tribune's La Velle E. Neal III was officially named the President of the Baseball Writers Association. He was Vice President (to Susan Slusser) the last year.

LaVelle is the first African American to hold the title in the organization's 105 year history.
