Good to see Berrios put a nice start together. Nice day for Sano, walking once and driving in 4 with a HR and double. He looks to be continuing to adjust well.

 

How much longer will Trevor May continue to struggle? I'm all for giving this kid every chance, but his last few starts have been pretty ugly. His BB/9 might be inching in the right direction but overall his future as an MLB starter really concerns me.

Berrios is starting to put together some better starts, hopefully he can keep the momentum going. If Sano keeps hitting, and Plouffe's OPS keeps dropping (.523 in July and .380 in August) the odds of seeing him keep getting higher and higher.

I would guess that working on his walk rate might be causing other aspects of his game to slip a bit. While I don't like the overall results, the peripherals look good. I'm not worried too much just yet. It just means he won't likely be in MN next season.

Several pitching prospects seem to be getting bit by the "one big inning" bug. I know that has been the case with both Meyer and May going into today. I haven't checked May's line today.
