Team Names

Baseball has some of the best team names in sports. I like it when the names have a real connection to the place where the teams are located. For this reason I like the Twins, Brewers and Mariners a lot. The original Dodger name was the Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers which is the coolest name ever however it makes no sense for LA. Names I don’t care for are more generic names like the Cubs, Royals and Guardians.

I like when Cincinnati changed their name to the Redlegs so no one would think they were communists

One of the fun parts of the Ken Burns baseball doc series is the parts where they list out some of the bizarre minor league team names that existed at the time.  Who wouldn't want to watch the Flood Sufferers take on the Collar-and-Cuff Makers?
