Publicly known data proves this isn't accurate.  You stated their gate was $84 mill.  Their revenue share is $200 mil.  That's $284m in revenue without factoring in tv, radio, advertising, merchandise, naming rights, all the other ways pro sports teams get revenue.  You think all of that totals $8.4 mil in revenue?  I don't.  

You seem to be doing an awful lot of work trying to prove, without actual data, that MLB teams lose money.  I'm legitimately curious as to why?

Well if you believe some of the folks around here Leipold just invested in a business that loses millions every year, and the investors invested a bunch of money in a losing business without wanting a voice in how that failing business is run.

The article clearly stated that it was for the 2024 season. The author is a 20 year member of the BWAA. His background was easily found on the site. When you can’t argue the message, try to be accurate about the messenger.
