Dan Hayes just reported that the Twins have narrowed the the list down to Derek Shelton, James Rowson, Ryan Flaherty, and Scott Servais.

It will be Shelton or Rowson since the Twins don't have an original thought when it comes to running an organization.

I'm hoping for Rowson, I think Buxton and Lewis and Brooks Lee would be inspired to new levels with James Rowson as manager. That and now that Rowson worked for the Yankees he has good contacts in baseball to hire a really good coaching staff. I want to see some positive energy going in to next season.

Charley Walters says Hunter and Falvey had informal talks last week, and that Hunter already has his staff he wants were he to get a manager job. Charley also said hunter is interested.

Yeah, Rowson is the best option among the names being reported.

At this point not sure what they are waiting for?  Is there someone on the Dodgers and/or Jays' staffs they are interested in?  Otherwise, pick someone already.

I did hear some talking head mention that MLB discourages teams from making major announcements like a new manager on World Series game days.  So we could hear as early as Thursday.  I'd be surprised if it went past the first week of November unless their top choice takes a different job
