I’m going to become a padres fan. They actually try to win.

like all their other businesses, the pohlads will run the twins into the ground.

Wow. I just saw it at the STRIB.  The fanbase was just getting used to saying bye-bye (or “Don’t let the door hit you …”).  The fire-sale and now this surprise will be too much for some. For the rest of us, we will have to view this as an ongoing soap opera.  Maybe Bill Pohlad can turn it into a movie.

I look forward to them not living up to the "rapidly evolving sports landscape  one that demands strong partnerships, fresh ideas, and long-term vision"  They possess none of these qualities

They sunk so low last night they had the broadcast team promoting limited edition generic jerseys and sweatshirts. Goes to show they only care about selling stuff with the logo and not the quality of players on the field. I mean our final three hitters were Gasper, Juliene, and Fitzgerald. Those three had as much chance if getting a hit of Rodon as Larry, Moe, and Curly. Knuckleheads threw us a curve and sold hope. Having new Twins owners is like hunting an elusive snipe. A catcher that can't throw, first basemen without proper footwork or positioning, and a 31 year old career minor leaguer playing short stop. There are nights the Whichita Wind Surge could hang with this version of Twins.

They'd be figureheads intended to stand in front of cameras and give "ownership" a fan friendlier image.

Neither they nor any other limited partners are going to have any real say-so on the operation.

Joe Mauer, the hometown kid guy who up and made Florida his primary residence so he could avoid paying taxes? Yeah, I got a pretty good idea what he would prioritize.

Just a couple of months old. I lived in San Diego for eight years, including high school, and the 98 team is what got me back into baseball. I've wanted a Padres site for years, and finally decided to just start one cold.
