Sandy Alcantara

This seems like a good fit for the Twins. They are desperate for pitching right now. Alcantara has had two good starts in a row despite the bad era coming off Tommy John. Thoughts?

I advocated for acquiring Alcantara last November and was willing to pay a bundle. I just don't believe the Twins are desperate for pitching though at this time, although I would gladly welcome Alcantara to the team. What package of players are you offering Miami? It needs to be very good.

The Twins desperately need players who can field, run, and hit. Unfortunately I cannot think of any team willing to trade away those type of guys. San Fran picking up Devers was a genius move because they needed a DH. The Twins already have 5+ DH's on the roster. I'm afraid we should expect to roll with the current roster.

San Diego always seems to be willing to part with quality prospects.  I'd guess Alcantara goes to San Diego.  The Twins just aren't willing to part with the prospects needed for Alcantara.  And I'd guess that's ok in this instance.  Alcantara could be good, but it may take him a year or so to get back to his full potential.
