Minnesota Twins: Top 5 MLB Draft Busts in Team History

I looked at the worst first-round picks in the Twins' history.

The Twins had a terrible run from 1998 through 2000 with three of their five worst first-round picks in team history.

You can read the rest of it at Yahoo! Sports.

I mainly focused on players that never made the majors. Are there some that were higher picks that made it but were disappointing that should have ranked higher?

Hard not to put Adam Johnson #1 since he was a #1 pick that never did ****. This is a pretty short list IMO, you could have kept going pretty easily.

Eddie Bane? 1973

I think Eddie Bane is a good example of what you risk when you draft a pitcher and have him starting in the majors a few weeks later. He was mishandled more than he was a bad draft pick, imo.

You could also argue for some of the guys from early 1990s- they got some playing time in the majors, but only because the team was so bad.

I can agree with that.
