Minnesota Twins 2012 MLB Draft: So Far, so Good

I looked at how the top picks in last year's draft have done.

One year later, the draft class appears to be a success, but it's still too early to say for sure. However, the play of many of those draft picks has been very encouraging.

You can read the rest of it at Yahoo! Sports. I'd like to read your thoughts. After Buxton and Berrios, is it too soon to make any positive predictions? Did the Twins take too many college relievers?

Nice draft, no doubt. I'm not as high on Bard, Melo, and Chargois as your writeup, but if Duffey or Baxendale is real (or can be traded for something that is), then it's a very good draft. Not what I would have done, but a good draft.

I think Buxton is gonna end up being one of those guys that people look back on the 2012 draft and say "How did HOU pass on him". It will haunt HOU for years. He is developing so quick, hes a true 5 tool player. Every scout around the country is drooling over him, everywhere I look they are writing articles comparing him to ARod, Trout, McCutchen....

My only criticism of the Twins draft last year is that they started picking RP'ers one pick too soon. If you change Bard at #42 to a HS pitcher or toolsy hitter it would have been even better. I actually don't have a problem loading up with some power relief arms in the 60+ area of the draft. Duffey and Jones (1SP and 1 RP) are doing alright.

But the draft is a huge success based on the frontliners (Buxton and Berrios) and Walker and Baxendale were nice steals late. This draft could be an overwhelming success if everyone of those RP'ers are complete busts but hopefully one of them become a 7th/8th/9th inning guy for the Twins.
