Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I know it is much too early to really get into the 2012 draft, but I did want to call attention to a Purdue player I have seen who is likely to go in the second round. Kevin Plawecki is a solid defensive catcher who had good F and So seasons and is now killing it in his junior year. The Twins need help at this position and this is a guy to watch over the next few months.
Jeremy Nygaard Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 I started a series of draft previews for the different areas and the Midwest was next on my list. Plawecki was one of only a couple of guys that jumped out. The plan was to complete my post tonight, before I realized it was National Championship Monday. But, yes, I would agree... if you're into following potential Twin-draftees Plawecki is on a short list of guys you could catch on Big Ten Network.

There are some other guys in the Big Ten to take a look at, including Nick Wittgren who suddenly added about 5 mph to his fastball between high school and his sophomore season (last year) of college.
