Gray,------ American League pitcher month of May 2023

Starting Pitchers:
NL: Mitch Keller, Pirates (3-1, 2.45 ERA)
AL: Jon Gray, Rangers (4-0, 1.95 ERA)     Sonny went unbeaten also and has a better era,  wonder if anyone has ever won a award with Stats like Sonny had

I think Sonny HAD the better overall ERA for the season (at least until yesterday's start), but if you are just talking about one month, it actually went up in May. Meanwhile Jon Gray certainly has been lights out for Texas recently.

I wasn't following the Rangers or the monthly awards, so appreciate it.

Took me a moment to realize it was that time again. I probably should read the TD award coverage too seeing as it's up.

Gray won AL Pitcher of the Month. Only thing is, it wasn't our Gray.

May stats

25.1 innings - 3.55 ERA - Sonny (5 starts)

32.1 innings - 1.95 ERA - Jon Gray (5 starts)

33 innings 2.73 ERA - Ryan (6 starts)

37,2 innings - .96 ERA Eovaldi (5 starts)

I am not sure Sonny was even a consideration for pitcher of the month (for that matter Joe Ryan either)

Not sure have Gray won it over his teammate Eovaldi
